Owen Thomas Earls, 77, of
Ft. Smith, AR passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 in Ft. Smith. Owen was born July 5, 1938 in Heavener, OK to
Elvin Franklin & Lola Jane (Spears) Earls.
He was a veteran of the US Army.
Owen worked as a bookkeeper. He
was a member of Bluff Avenue Baptist Church.
Owen was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Olen and wife
of 24 years, Sue Earls.
Survivors include his
children, Cindy & Jody Grizzle of Pocola, OK, Lacey & Mike Swaim of Ft.
Smith, AR, Kevin & Lisa McBride of Owasso, OK; sisters, Thelma Andrews of
Heavener, OK, Iona & Dewayne Thompson of Ft. Smith, AR; 7 grandchildren, Matthew Grizzle, Cailin
Grizzle, Kyler Swaim, Kadin Swaim, Adam McBride, Jett & Jacob McBride;
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 10 am,
Friday, August 21, 2015 at Bluff Avenue Baptist Church with
Rev. Robert Berry officiating. Interment will be at 11 am, Monday, August 24th in the Ft. Smith National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jody Grizzle, Kevin McBride, Mike Swaim, Adam McBride, Matthew Grizzle, Kyler Swaim, Aaron Powers, Mike Andrews, Andy Barnes and Mark Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jett McBride, Jacob McBride, Kadin Swaim and friends at Ft. Smith Boys and Girls Club.

Owen was a very loyal and reliable volunteer to the Ft. Smith Boys and Girls Clubs. He enjoyed spending time at the Club and their functions. Everyone enjoyed visiting with him. He will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him.
