Grace Sue Turner, Age 104, Marshfield, Missouri, passed away June 20, 2015 in Mercy Hospital,
Springfield, Missouri. She was born March 28, 1911 in Monroe, Oklahoma,
the daughter of Edgar and Allie Wise.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, five
brothers, one daughter, one son-in-law, one granddaughter, one grandson and two
great grandsons.
She was united in marriage on April 15, 1930 to Otis Burl Turner in Poteau, Oklahoma. They lived most of their married life in California and enjoyed thirty-six years together before he passed away. At age fifty-five she became an avid golfer both as a player and fan. Gardening was one of her favorite pastimes when she wasn't golfing. She loved to travel and being with her family. In later years she decided to make her home in Missouri to be closer to her youngest daughter and family.
She is survived by daughter Pat Stokes, Marshfield, Missouri; Reba (husband Bill) Judd, Downey, California; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; nineteen great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their families who she loved dearly.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday June 29, 2015 at Evans & Miller Funeral Home in Poteau, Oklahoma and burial will be at the cemetery in Monroe, Oklahoma.
