Herman D. “Hodo” Wylie, 82, of Wister, OK passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in Summerfield, OK. He was born March 9, 1927, in Holsun Valley, OK to M.L. & Lou (Turner) Wylie. Hodo was a member & deacon of Summerfield Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include his wife, Tema Wylie of the home; daughter & son in law, Kathy & Alton Carpenter of Summerfield, OK; grandchildren, Kendall & wife, Sharla Carpenter of Summerifled, OK, Raenita Carpenter of Summerfield, OK; great grandchildren, Wally Kitchel and Kagney Scarberry of Summerfield, OK; brother & sister in law, Troy & Wanda Wylie of Nevada; sister, Lucille Harris of California; special nieces & nephews, other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services were held 10 am, Friday, July 24, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Summerfield, OK with the Rev. Charles Caughern officiating. Interment followed in Summerfield Cemetery, Summerfield, OK.
