Ada Lee Nester, 78, of Arkoma, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009 in Arkoma. Ada was born on September 17, 1930 in Pittsburg, Kansas to David & Ada (Williams) Long. She was a cook. Ada raised all her kids and loved her family very deeply. Her husband, Jacob Nester; a son, Jacob Nester, Jr.; a granddaughter, Laura Cailett; and her parents preceded Ada in death.
Ada is survived by 4 daughters, Laura Cailett of California; & Betty Smith, Shirley Bennett, & Brenda Scott, all of Arkoma, OK; 2 sons, Joe Nester of Mulberry, AR & Larry Nester of Arkoma, OK; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a sister, Clara Nester of Muldrow, OK; numerous other relatives & loved ones; and many beloved friends.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas with the Reverend John Burns officiating. Interment followed the services with arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola, OK. Pallbearers were Joseph Nester, Michael Smith, Danny Smith, Bobby Smith, Richard Bennett, Clay Bennett, & Matthew Hesson. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
