Joe Wesley Gorman of McLoud Oklahoma formally of Poteau Oklahoma passed away at 11:29pm on Saturday June 5, 2021 in his home surrounded by family and loved ones. Wesley was born on February 18th, 1944, in Eudora Arkansas to Joe and Nita Gorman. Wesley spent most of his career building homes as a general contractor until he found his new career in long haul trucking with his wife Phyllis. Wesley finally retired in 2001 to spend the rest of his time with his children and grandchildren much to their enjoyment.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father and his three sisters, Marie, Mary, and Sharon.
He is survived by his two sons Anthony Gorman of McLoud and his children Anthony II, Austen, Travis, Jonathon, Stormy, Dawn, Aaron, Boe and Daniel Gorman; Doug Gorman of Keota and his children Linton, Jennifer, Keven, and Kevin Gorman, and his daughter Lowanna Cutting of Rogersville Tennessee and her two daughters Raelann and Adrian. He is also survived by the mother of his three children Phyllis Bunch; numerous great grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau with Jim Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony’s children.
