Tony Ray Matney, 74, of
LeFlore, OK passed away July 17, 2019 in Ft. Smith, AR. Tony was born August 9, 1944 at Pete & Ellen Kitchens home in LeFlore. He was a Green Beret in the US Army; a truck
driver, boiler maker and for most of his life he did what he loved best,
mechanic. He retired as owner/operator of
Don Allen’s Machine Shop. Tony was
preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete & Ellen Kitchens; his mother
& stepfather, Martha & Ed Ferguson.
He is survived by his
partner of 20 years, Joyce Mixon of Shady Point, OK; son, Loren Matney of
LeFlore, OK; grandson, Kyle Matney of Arkoma, OK; a host of Kitchens cousins
and Ingle family.
Memorial services will be
held 2 pm, Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau with Jim
Cook & Larry Matthiesen officiating.
In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
Visitation will be Monday
evening from 6-7 pm.
