Jean Inez (Hurlocker)
Shelton, known to all her grandkids as "MA", 86, of Poteau, OK was
born on March 8, 1932 to Claude & Rethel Hurlocker & departed from this
life on April 20, 2018. She worked as a
nurse until her retirement. Jean was a
devout member of the Poteau Church of Christ.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, writing poetry, and
reading. She loved her family
dearly. She was preceded in death by her
son, Tommy Gene Harger, her parents and her brother, Jess Hurlocker.
She is survived by one son,
Hugh Anthony Harger & wife Lisa of Wister, OK; daughter, Sherry King &
husband Michael of Rock Island, OK; stepdaughters, Collyn (Suzie) Shelton of
Muldrow, OK, Janet Shelton Stephens of Ft. Smith, AR; stepson, Mike Shelton of Haw
Creek, OK; 16 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; one very special great
granddaughter, Taegan McKinley Loggains; 2 brothers, Richard Hurlocker of
Glendale, OK, Jim & Fran Hurlocker of Ft. Smith, AR; 2 sisters, Sybil
Earnhart of Poteau, OK, Grace Napier of Greenwood, AR; other relatives, loved
ones and friends.

So sorry for the families loss. I enjoyed so much knowing Jean. She was a sweet sweet lady. We had a good time helping with brownies. ����❤️ To you all.
I juat now found out of Jean's passing as I found Grace's obituary. My heart is heavy at the loss of both of these dear women. My parents, Jack and Zella Mae James, were great friends of theirs and Jean especially was like family. My sympathy to Anthony and to the others who called this wonderful woman their own.
