Isabel Marie Kirk


          Isabel Marie Kirk, 96, of Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, in Ft. Smith, AR.  Isabel was born September 25, 1921, in Tahona, OK to Joe & Julia (Juskets) Waselues.  She was a retired teacher.  Isabel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lon; 3 siblings & a stepson; niece, Bette Hampton.

          Survivors include her step daughter in law, Naomi Kirk of Panama, OK; stepdaughters, Shirley Smith of Poteau, OK , Lois Ricks of Edmond, OK, Joyce Cando of Spiro, OK; grandkids, Charlotte Cagle, Gary Kirk &  Patricia Green of Panama, OK, Lundy & Samantha Kiger, Jody Kiger of Poteau, OK, Cindy Sasnett of Edmond, OK; great grandkids, Ashley & Cody Loudermilk of Poteau, OK, Heath & Brittany Gregory of Shady Point, OK, Kyle Kirk of Bloomington, TX, Anthony & Amy Hilbers, Randy & Samantha Hilbers of Edmond, OK, Joe Ryan Kiger of Little Rock, AR; great great grandkids, Madison, Jacob & Jaycee Gregory, Hayley & Maddox Cardenas, Connor, Emily & Wyatt Hilbers, Thea Hilbers;  nephews, James Waselues, Joe Waselues, Troy Hampton; nieces, Beverly Lawellin, Julie Pickle, Barbara Waselues, Priscilla & Chuck Hise, Frankie Jo Jarrett; great nephew, David Thompson; great great nephew, Chase Thompson; great great niece, Tara & Steven Morris;  great great great nephews, Kyler Morris, Kaiden Morris & Declan     Thompson; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with   Lloyd  Jaeger  & Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Heath Gregory, Robert Swinford, Larry Gregory, Troy Hampton, Gerald  Fout, Matt Anderson.

          The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives, friends & former students.

A strong and capable woman ... I always admired Isabel. She was always caring and genuine. She is already missed!!!
