Heath
Allen Stallings, 50, of Greenwood, AR passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in Oklahoma City,
OK. Heath was born September 30, 1967 in
Gallup, NM to James Vyron & Glenda Sue (Hicks) Stallings. Heath grew up in New Mexico until his family
moved to Heavener, OK area when he was 10.
Heath was a 25 year veteran of Law Enforcement in the State of
Oklahoma. He was also a police instructor
and very passionate about the training and safety of all his police
officers. Heath's interests were in aeronautics,
history, music, reading his Bible, marksmanship, and law enforcement. Heath was a loving husband, father and
grandfather. He was extremely proud to
be a papa! Even though his physical
heart failed him, his true heart showed through the love he had for his family
and friends. Heath was preceded in death
by his father; grandparents, Carl & Opal Hicks, Vyron "Slim"
Stallings; great grandparents, Dollie Evans, Dave & Mary Hicks.
He is
survived by his wife, Teresa "Terry" Ann (Tucker) Stallings of the
home; son, Joshua Stallings & wife Sarah of Coweta, OK; daughter, Michaela
Anderson & husband Brad of Tulsa, OK; step daughters, Ashley Baxter &
husband Bradley of Muldrow, OK, Alexandria Thompson of Greenwood, AR; step son
Clinton Thompson of Greenwood, AR; grandsons, Xane Staats, Reiyen Henderson,
Lewke Stallings, Collin Baxter; granddaughters, Hannah Mae Anderson, Aubrielle
Sage Baxter; his mother, Glenda Sue Stallings; brothers, Jimmy Stallings &
wife Lynn, David Stallings & wife Rhetta; sister, Debbie Cook & husband
Mark; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services
will be 2 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Greenwood, AR
with Rev. Ronnie Deal. Interment will
follow in Monroe Cemetery, Monroe, OK. Pallbearers will be Chief-Randy Liles,
Officer-Dewayne Goad, Don Nelms, Sgt. Brent Young, Sgt. Rob Rogers, Mike
Cornsilk, Chief-Patti Buhl-NSU, Capt-James Bell.
The
family will be at the funeral home in Poteau on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to
visit with relatives & friends.
