Albert George
"AG" Rogers, 82, of Lead Hill, AR went to be with the Lord on Friday,
January 12, 2018, in Fayetteville, AR.
AG was born February 23, 1935, in Peno, OK to Henry Franklin & Edith
Ray (Brooks) Rogers. He was a loving
husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. AG was a Christian who loved the Lord and
attended Peel Full Gospel Church. He
enjoyed studying his Bible & teaching Sunday School. AG was an avid fisherman who always wanted to
stay long enough to catch one more fish.
He was friendly to everyone and felt he never met a stranger. AG was a retired meat market manager and has owned
his own store and processing plant. He
was always happy and was often known as the whistling butcher. After retirement he stayed busy going to his
grand and great grandchildren's sporting, band, and school events. He tried not to miss one. His family feels so blessed to have had him for such a long time. The men in his family are thankful for his
guidance, leadership, and example. He
will always live on in our hearts. He
was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Duane & brother, Glenn Rogers.
Survivors include his wife
of 65 years, Margie Ruth; daughter & son in law, Theanna & Gregg
Benefiel of Marshall, AR; son & daughter in law, Todd & Lesa Rogers of
Harrison, AR; grandchildren, James & Amy Benefiel, Katie Benefiel, Ashton,
Kolby & Emmalee Rogers; great grandchildren, Allie & Gavin Bryant,
Gregg Benefiel, Cassandra Benefiel, Sawyer Boyd, Samuel Benefiel; sisters
& husbands, Peggy Kazmirski of Ft.
Smith, AR, Brenda & Darrell Borum of Arkoma, OK, Debbie & Bill Frye of
Greenwood, AR; brother & wife, Billy Jack & Glenda Rogers of Arkoma,
OK; many nieces, nephews & friends.
The will be visitation on
Thursday evening from 5-7 pm, at Holts Funeral Home, 1904 Capps Rd, in Harrison, AR. Services will be 2 pm, Friday at Evans Chapel
of Memories, Poteau, OK with Curly Johnson & David Campbell
officiating. Interment will follow in
Shady Point Cemetery, Shady Point, OK.
