Sara Ann Jobe, 75, of
Poteau, OK passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 in Ft. Smith, AR. Sara was born January 8, 1942 in Poteau, OK
to R.G. & Mary (Robertson) Lucas.
Sara taught school for many years.
She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Poteau. Sara was instrumental in operation of the
Christian Free Clinic for 12 years. She
was a devoted school teacher for over 30 years, shaping the lives of countless
children and young adults. She was a faithful member of the Epsilon
Sigma Sorority. Sara will be remembered
for her love of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gordon & Larry
Lucas; and sister, Mary Sue Lucas.
Survivors include her
husband, Earl Jobe of Poteau; daughter & son in law, Stephanie & Jesse
Bailey of Ft. Smith, AR; sons & daughters in law, Lucas & Colleen Jobe
of Ramstein, Germany; Gordon & Tammy Jobe of Denison, TX; grandchildren,
Ryan & Sara Bailey, Jane, Addy, Mathew & Joseph Jobe, Jackson Jobe;
sister in law, Mary Helen Lucas of Poteau; nephew, Larry B. Lucas of Oklahoma
City; niece, Lacey Lucas of Dallas, TX; other relatives, loved ones and
friends.
Services will be 2 pm
Friday, April 14, 2017 at the First Christian Church, Poteau, OK with Gary Vancil officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery,
Poteau, OK.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-8 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
