Tommy L. Walker, 70, of
Poteau, OK passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. Tommy was born July 9, 1946 in Elk City, OK
to Les & Addie (Biggs) Walker. He
was a veteran of the US Navy. Tommy was an electronic technician for the
Red River Army Depot in Texarkana, TX; and
a prison guard for the Federal Correctional Institution in
Texarkana. He retired after 30 years of
federal service. He enjoyed life to the
fullest; meeting people; watching football and going to rodeos. He loved his horses and dogs. People never forgot him after meeting him. Tommy was preceded in death by his mother
Addie Walker, sister, Linda and brother, Jimmy.
Survivors include his wife, Frances of the home; sons, Wade Walker
& Hiram Walker, Kevin Payne & wife Trish; granddaughters, Abagail
Walker & Sara Payne; grandsons, Eli Walker & Derrek Payne; other
relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at New Beginnings
Church, Poteau, OK with Pastors Marshall Faulkenberry Jr. & Don Martin
officiating. Burial will follow in Maxey
Cemetery, Wister, OK. Pallbearers will
be Derric McFarland, Jimmy Thomas, Josh Miller, Mike Morgan, J.C. Byous, & Bud Killion.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
