Gordon Ray Williams, 94, of
Poteau, OK passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in Muskogee, OK. Gordon was born July 9, 1921 in Redwater, TX
to Roy & Ila Mae (Sanders) Williams.
He was a retired pipefitter; a
member of the pipefitters union for 50 years.
Gordon was a veteran of the US Navy.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Gordon attended the Methodist Church in Wister. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54
years, Billie Jo; his parents, Roy Williams & Ila Mae Williams Hooper;
stepfather, Will Hooper; sister, Shelly Mae Leatherwood; brothers, Robert Lee,
Willabee, Jesse Ray & Billy Joe Hooper; son, Billy Ray Williams; special
friend, Faye Fullen.
Survivors include his
daughter, Anna Earley & son, Roger
C. Williams of Poteau, OK; Grandchildren, Heith & wife Kristi Williams,
Dwayne & wife Liesa Williams of Poteau, Ivan Williams of Ft. Smith,
AR, Samantha & husband Justin
Crawford of Arlington, TX, Matthew & wife Michelle Earley of Antlers, OK,
Jodi & wife Mandy Earley of Denver, CO; great grandchildren, Derrik
Williams, Tyler Williams of Poteau, Audrey Crawford of Arlington, TX, Makayla,
Macey, Lucy, Gracy, Emma & Nora Earley, Cherish & Ethan Estes; great
great grandson, Jensen Heith Williams of Poteau; sister, Alpha Mullins of Hamilton, TX; other
relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 10 am,
Monday, June 13, 2016 at Evans Chapel of Memories , Poteau with Rev. Jim Cook
officiating. Interment will follow in
Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Sunday from 4-6 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
