Doris Elaine Duvall, 88, of Wister, OK passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Heavener, OK. She was born July 24, 1930 in Wister, OK to Harvey and Ruby (Thompson) Wooten. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Red Lee Duvall, Son Gordon Lee, Brothers James Dale, Clifford Paul, Ronnie Lee, and Lonnie Wooten, Sisters Clydean Wooten, Mona Vaughn, and Ruby Mae Wooten.
Doris was a great Alto singer, and loved music. She was the oldest of 13 children. She was a wonderful mother, loved to cook for her family, and work in her yard.
Doris is survived by her daughters Vicky Akins and husband Jess of Wister, Regina Duvall of Poteau, and Dana Burns and husband Joe of Wister; Son Randy Duvall and wife Joni of Wister; Grandchildren Lee and Angel Akins, Chris and Jennifer Akins, Brennon Burns, Jonathan and Fancy Duvall, April Duvall, and Tommy Burkhammer; Great Grandchildren Chase and Blake Akins, Mackenzie Akins, Ali, Kenlei, Kaelbi, and Karlee Duvall, Brody Akins, Landon Akins, John Hall, and Eric Haynes; Sisters Linda Brannon and husband Ricky of Fanshaw; Brothers Gary Wooten, Robert and wife Karen Wooten, and Donnie Wooten all of Wister; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 6-8pm.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Mount View Baptist Church in Glendale, OK with Gene Heflin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mtn View Cemetery.
Family would like to thank the staff at the Heavener Nursing and Rehab, and Advantage hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
