Ida M Davidson departed for home on
December 11, 2018. Born to William and Irene
(Schultz) McKeown, on May 18 1914 in Sayre, Oklahoma, Ida graduated from
Liberty HS in 1931, attended teachers college and received her teaching
certificate in 1933. Ida married Lonnie
Davidson and had one son, Wayne.
After WWII started the family moved
to Seattle as part of the war effort. There
Ida worked for the Transit System as a Loader in downtown Seattle. She was well known as very helpful in getting
people onto the right bus. Ida and
Lonnie moved back to Oklahoma in the early 60’s and settled in Wister where
they raised beef cattle. Ida was loving,
kind, and dedicated to her community. Always
an advocate for education, she founded the Wister Public Library in 1963 and
was a dedicated member of the Family & Community Education Association for
many years. She was a longtime member of
Bethel Baptist Church, cherishing all her friends and family, especially her
Sunday school class. In April 2010, she
moved to Caretel Inns of Lakeland in St. Joseph, Michigan to be closer to her
grandchildren and then to the Pine Ridge Nursing Center in March 2016.
Ida was preceded in death by her
parents; husband; son William Wayne Davidson; two brothers Woodrow and Edwin (Jack)
McKeown; and great grandson Eugene Nims.

Linda Davidson of Monroe, WA, William (Diane) Davidson of St. Joseph, MI,
Robert (Cheri) Davidson of Hilliard, OH, Debra Lee of Rockford, IL, Great
Grandchildren; Jennifer (Mark) Hamilton of Ridgefield, CT, Christy Davidson of
Chicago, IL, Katherine Nims of San Francisco, CA, Kevin (Alicia) Nims of
Charlottesville, VA, Samantha Davidson, Alexander Davidson, and Sara Davidson
of Hilliard, OH; great-great Grandsons Jacob and Dylan Hamilton of Ridgefield,
CT, Nieces; Sherry McKeown and Linda Ghormley of Cameron, OK, Sandra Johnson of
Barling, AR, Joyce (Jerry) Harmon of Wister, OK, Lois McKeown of Cameron; and
many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation and services will be
held at the Bethel Baptist Church in Wister, OK on December 29, 2018. Visitation will start at noon, followed by a
Celebration of Life at 1 pm, with Pastor Clyde Steelman officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks
& Menchinger Chapel & Cremation services in MI and Evans & Miller
Funeral Homes in OK. Those wishing to

final years.
