Geneva Q. "Genny"
Dorsey, 92, of Poteau, OK passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 in Heavener, OK.
Genny was born August 15, 1925 in Alf, AR to Troy & Grace (Spake)
Quinn. She was a very active member of
the First United Methodist Church ; 20th Century Club; 2008 Chamber of Commerce
Woman of the Year. She was preceded in
death by her parents; 3 sisters, 7
brothers and her loving husband, Phil, of 8/28/2007.
Survivors include her sons
& daughter in law, Phil & Sandra Dorsey of Danville, VA, Paul Dorsey of
Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren, Katie Dickerson & Patricia Dorsey; great grandson,
Donovan Dickerson of all of Danville, VA; brother, Lee Quinn of Mena, AR;
sister, Mary Grace Watkins; other relatives, loved ones and many beloved
friends.
Services will be 10 am,
Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, Poteau with
Rev. Jim Perkin officiating. Interment
will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.

Genny was my neighbor for 20 years. She was such a sweetheart and will be deeply missed. My condolences go out to her family and loved ones. I know she cherished her church community.
