George William Maynor Jr.,
69, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 in Poteau. George was born December 21, 1947 in Buck
Creek, OK to George Sr. & Vera (Clark) Maynor. George was an auto mechanic, feed producer
and did maintenance for Kenco Plastics.
He was a faithful member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Poteau. George was preceded in death by his parents;
daughter in law, Rebecca Maynor; brothers, Kenneth, Tony & Bill Maynor;
sisters, Jeanie Mann, June Horowitz, Ruth Fox and Mary Tipton; brother in law,
Donald Adams & sister in law, Betty Adams.
Survivors include his wife,
Reah Adams Maynor of the home; sons, Brian Maynor of Choctaw, OK, Bruce Maynor
& Leslie of Poteau, OK; sister, Jo & Bob Maner of Collinsville, OK;
grandchildren, Zachary, Katelyn & Breanna Maynor of Choctaw; Jazmyne Maynor of Poteau,
OK; other relatives, loved ones and many friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the First Free Will Baptist Church, Poteau with
Rev. Cory Thompson officiating.
Interment will follow in Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wister, OK. Pallbearers will be Kevin Adams, Chris Adams,
Jerrod Adams, Robert Gutierrez, Bradley Adams, Dustin Adams, Brad Hill.
The family will be at the
funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives and friends.

I spent many nights over at the Maynor's house when I was a kid. George was always kind, respectful, kind hearted. may GOD bless your family in this time need. I will be praying for you all. GOD Bless
