Mary Almeta "Tom"
Clark, 89, of Pocola, OK passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Ft. Smith,
AR. Tom was born September 19, 1926 in
Braggs, OK to Fred & Texarkana (Meadows) Howard. She worked at "The Barn" Restaurant
& Southwest Rebuilders and Whirlpool.
Tom was a member of the Christian Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents;
husband, James Clark; Son, Jimmy Clark; daughter, Terri Gail; brothers, George "Shag", John, Logan, &
Meadows Howard; sisters, Lucille and Louise; grandson, Timmy Hargrove and son
in law, Freddy Townley.
Survivors include her
daughters, Mary Townley of Greenwood, AR, Katy Hargrove & Jesse Paul of Rock
Island, OK, Beverly Brown & Ronny of Pocola, OK; son, Derrell & Joann
Clark of Wilmington, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; sister, Loretta
"Babe" Woodard of Ft. Smith, AR; other relatives, loved ones and
friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Monday, March 7, 2016 at Evans Memorial
Chapel, Pocola, OK with Rev. Danny Kannady and Rev. Gene Thomas
officiating. Interment will follow in
Macedonia Cemetery, Pocola. Pallbearers
will be Buz Hodges, Sam Hodges, John Rogers, Eric Townley, Wesley Riggs and
Larry Woodard. Honorary pallbearers will
be Phil Woodard, Randy Woodard, Stanley Gray, Ben Clark, Ralph Farrar, Jerry
Farrar.
The family will be at the
funeral home in Pocola, OK on Sunday afternoon from 4-6 pm to visit with relatives &
friends.
