Dorene Cheryl Thompson, 87,
of Poteau, OK passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 in Poteau. Dorene was born January 7, 1928 in Wister, OK
to Elmer & Willie (Bullard) Wilson. She
& Elton were husband & wife for 64 years having married on her birthday in
1948. She was preceded in death by her
parents; husband, Elton Thompson in 2012; son, Larry Thompson.
Survivors include her son
& wife, Glenn & Sandra Thompson of Poteau, OK; grandchildren, Cheryl
& husband Steve Arnall of Tahlequah, OK, Jamie Spunaugle of Collinsville,
OK, Randie Thompson & husband Jon Atkins of Denver, CO, Brian Thompson of
Poteau, Kelli Thompson of Poteau, former daughter in law, Frances Thompson of
Poteau; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Wilson of Alamo, California.
Services will be 2 pm,
Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau, OK with Rev.
Jim Cook officiating.
