Remington Goines

     Remington Scott Goines of Shady Point, OK was born March 16, 2004 passed away August 7, 2016 at the age of 12.   Remington was a 6th grade student at Panama Grade School and a member of Green Country Cowboy Church in Wister, OK.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and video games.  But most of all he loved God and his family.  Remington was a special boy.  He cared deeply for people.  His goal in life was to be a comforter and he succeeded very well in his mission. He was preceded in death by his mother April Goines, brothers, Hunter & Ruger Goines, Jace Hardy ; maternal great grandparents, Jack & Anne Flanary.

     Survivors include his father, Scott Goines & sister  Jaclynn  Goines of the home; brother, Ashton Cripps & Macey Baldwin & nephew Jayke Cripps of Poteau, OK; Uncles Joe & Monica Hardy & nephew Jarrett of Van Buren, AR, Justin & Janet James & children Whitney & Justin of Wagoner, OK; Aunt Angie & Matthew Coker & children Megan, Meleia, Ace & Brinklee of Shady Point, OK; maternal grandmother, Lottie Flanary of Poteau:  paternal grandparents, Robert & Debbie Goines of Shady Point;  many loving family & friends.

     Services will be 10 am, Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Reynolds Center, Poteau, OK.  

Jace Garrison Hardy

Jace Garrison Hardy of Shady Point, OK was born June 10, 1999 and passed away Sunday August 7, 2016 at the age of 17.  Jace was a Junior at Panama High School and enrolled in Welding at Kiamichi Technology Center in Poteau.   He was a member of Green Country Cowboy Church in Wister, OK.  Jace loved hunting, fishing and his family.  He was a great protector of his siblings and loved them dearly.  He was preceded in death by his mother April Goines, brothers, Hunter, Remington & Ruger Goines; maternal great grandparents, Jack & Anne Flanary &  & paternal great grandparents, Buck & Elly Nickles.

April Goines

April Dawn Goines, of Shady Point, OK was born March 26, 1979 and passed away Sunday August 7, 2016 at the age of 37.  She was an LPN at Rainbow Home Health in Poteau, OK and a member of Green Country Cowboy Church in Wister, OK.  April was a loving, caring person who loved God and her family.   She cared for her patients just like they were her own family.   April was a rock; her husband's soul mate.  Words can't express the pain and void felt by losing her.  Hopefully someday God will reveal and make sense of this.  We know we will meet again in Heaven and be a family again.  April was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jack & Anne Flanary; sons, Hunter Goines, Jace Hardy, Remington Goines and Ruger Goines.

BOB ERWIN

        Bob D. Erwin, 63 of Pocola, OK passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 in Fort Smith, AR.  Bob was  born January 21, 1953 in Lone Oak, OK to Edward William & Gladys Velma  (Richardson) Erwin.  Bob was a pipeliner.   He was a loving father, grandfather, devoted husband and man of faith.   He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Emogene Wilson, Juanita Erwin, Frieda Creighton; 2 brothers, Leon & Raymond Erwin.

          Survivors include his wife Karen of the home; daughter & son in law, Crissy & Brookin Stephens of Spiro, OK; son & daughter in law, Robby & Stephanie Erwin of Spring, TX; 5 grandchildren, Brayden, Emma, Samuel, Grayson & Judge; 4 sisters, Betty Sue Spencer of Tulsa, OK, Edwina Osburn of Sallisaw, Patsy June Whitlock & Christeen Erwin of Pocola, OK; 5 brothers, Shelby Erwin of Pocola, Joe Erwin of Arkoma, Ned Erwin of Sallisaw, Ray Erwin of Pocola, Charles Erwin of Alma, AR; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

              Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Assembly of God Church in Pocola, OK with Rev. Doug Jackson & Rev. Danny Kennedy officiating.  Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery, Pocola.  Pallbearers will be James Anderson, Tony Bruton, Tommy Tuck, Gary Myers, Richard Craighead, Brayden Erwin, Donny Lairamore, Troy Marshall.  Honorary pallbearers will be Oscar Crain, Bob Cowan, Kenny Pipkins and Ronnie Smith.

The family will be at the funeral home in Pocola on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Walter Edgar Collins

 Walter Edgar Collins, 45, of  Fanshawe, OK passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in Fanshawe.  Walter was born October 19, 1970 in  San Joaquin, CA to Charles Ray & Elaine (Raymond) Collins.  He worked at Kenco Plastics.  Walter was a member of the Fanshawe Fire Dept. since 1990.   He was preceded in death by his father & his grandparents. 

Survivors include his son, Joshua Hunter Collins of the home;  Joshua's mother, Jodie Knight Collins;  mother, Elaine Collins of the home; sister, Colleen Dunn of Spiro, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Free Will Baptist Church in Fanshawe, OK with Rev. Tracy Martin officiating.  Interment will follow in Fanshawe Cemetery.
