Leona May Thompson



         Leona May Thompson, 68, of Monroe, OK passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at her home.  Leona was born September 26, 1948 in Mesa, Arizona to Arvil Lee & Rose May (Fryhover) Ellis.    She was preceded in death by son, Philip E. Casteel; husbands, Philip Casteel, Michael Roy Sweeney & Virgle W. Thompson; sons in law, David Turk & Claude Jones; brother, Karl Stephen "Tommy" Skinner.   Leona was a mother , grandmother, former restaurant owner in Poteau, former truck driver.  She loved life and everything in it.  She will be greatly missed by all.
          Leona is survived by her daughters & sons in law, Liz & Mark Collins of Poteau, OK,
Tina & Donald Sanders of Golden Valley, AZ, Malinda Sweeney of Monroe, OK; grandchildren, Bradley & Ashley Oliver, Taylor Collins & Travis Simco, Angela & Lyndal Ritter, Christopher & Devin Williams, John Jones, Donald III, Derek, Dakota, William & Alexandria, Amber Sanders, Jason, Joseph & Jerami Casteel; great grandchildren, Delilah, Emerson, Lindsey, Aurora, Mike, Wyatt, Rawley,  Luke, Collins;  brothers, Kenny, Marty, Randy, Dwayne, Tim & Clifford and their wives; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.
           Services are pending.  The family would like to thank EVERYONE for their prayers and everything that has been done for their family.

Kerri Odom


Kerri Leann Odom, 36, of Poteau, OK passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 in Bokoshe, OK.  Kerri was born June 23, 1980 in Ft. Smith, AR to James Ronald & Norma Sue (Kinsey) Odom.  She was a  physical therapist assistant.  Kerri loved to fish and hunt, ride 4-wheelers, shop for shoes, listen to music & watch movies.  She enjoyed the outdoors.  She loved spending time with family and friends and she loved her dog, Tank.  Kerri was an avid Sooner Fan.   She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Odis & Mattie Kinsey; paternal grandfather, James Edward  "Red" Odom.


Survivors include her parents, Ronnie & Sue; sister, Niki Stacy & Clifton Oldaker; nieces, Destiny & Taylor Stacy all of Waldron, AR; paternal grandmother, Edna Odom of Poteau; other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Services will be 10 am, Friday, April 14, 2017 at Victory Worship Center, Spiro.  Burial will follow in Shady Point Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be Chad Hvamstad,  David Mize, Rodney Darnell, Shannon Langdell, Charles Jewell, Josh Jorgenson, Tim Stacy and Aaron Mize.



The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.


Carol Renee Baggs



Carol Renee Baggs  better known as   "Nanny Nae & Aunt Nae",  of Cameron, OK passed away  Friday, April 7, 2017 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Carol was born December 31, 1948 in California to Clinton & Alma (Jackson) Goforth.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Baggs, her parents & sister, Cathy Vaughn.



Survivors include  sons, Kevin Gray & fiance Heather Campbell of Sallisaw, OK, Mark Gray & wife Cheryl of Ft. Smith, AR; the daughter of her heart & son in law, Kim & Michael Standridge of Poteau, OK; grandchildren,  Devin, Brandon, Adian, Caleb & Tanner Gray, Buddy Standridge & wife Kaylee, Austin Standridge, Shelby Gregory & Dylan, Jordan McTyre,  Hayley & Cameron  Krone;  great grandchildren, Blake & Caiden Standridge, Harper Kate Standridge; brothers, Don Goforth of Poteau, OK, Mike & Carol Goforth of Lewisville, TX, Tag & Lisa Goforth of Midland TX;  sister, Cindy Tanton of Poteau, OK; partner in crime, Connie Timmons; other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Services will be 10 am, Monday, April 10, 2017 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Jarrod Ridenour officiating.  Interment will follow in Fairhill/Knothole Cemetery, Cameron, OK.  Pallbearers will be Austin Standridge, Buddy Standridge, Devin Gray, Brandon Gray, Caleb Gray & Tanner Gray.  Honorary pallbearers will be Blake & Caiden  Standridge,  Adian Gray, Cameron Krone, Mike, Tag,  & Don Goforth.



The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives and friends.

Robert Wade Qualls



          Robert Wade Qualls, 62, of Shady Point, OK passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at his home.  Robert was born January 1, 1955 in Arcadia, CA to Wade & Betty (Tripp) Qualls.  He was a veteran of the US Marines.  Robert was an artist.

       Survivors include his wife, Cindy Qualls; children, Nathaniel Qualls and Latasha Mitchell, John A. Easttom; sister, Sissie Knight; brother, Richard Qualls; his parents, Wade & Betty Qualls.

Bobby Joe Sumpter



Bobby Joe Sumpter, 78, oldest child of Jay & Loeta Sumpter passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2017 in Perry, OK.  Family & friends service will be at noon, Saturday, April 8 graveside at Fanshawe Cemetery with Brad Sumpter officiating.  Thanks to all for prayers and thoughts.
