BLANCHE DEATON

Blanche Deaton, 94, of Poteau, OK passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2008 in Poteau. She was born December 28, 1913 in Pinnacle, AR. Blanche was a member of Double Branch Baptist Church and she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Deaton; a son, Leon Deaton, & a granddaughter, Jana Deaton. Survivors include 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Billye Florence & Dewey Humphries of North Las Vegas, NV, Betty & Ollen Odean Nichols of Poteau, OK; 10 Grandchildren, Stan Humphries, Brad Humphries, Debbie Tanner, David Deaton, Donna Cortez, Dian Dupont, Rick Nichols, Ron Nichols, Randy Nichols, & Rhonda Hargis; 26 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; other relatives & loved ones; a host of beloved friends. Services: 2 pm, Saturday, August 30, 2008 in Evans Chapel of Memories – Poteau, OK with the Rev. Phil McGehee and Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Vaughn Cemetery, Gilmore, OK. Family visitation will be from 6-8 Friday evening, August 29 at the funeral home.
