Joseph Earl Davidson

         Joseph Earl Davidson, 69, of Shady Point, OK passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 in Tulsa, OK.  Joe was born May 3, 1951 in Poteau, OK to Earl  & Ruby (Coggins) Davidson.  He was raised in Poteau, attended Tarby and Poteau Schools.  He married the love of his life, Ruth, on February 2, 1970.  After the first year they welcomed their first child, Sherri.  Joe started to work for the county under Jack Craig.  He retired as county foreman in 1996 under Carrol Vaughn, one of his dearest friends.  Joe lived for and dearly loved his grand and great grandbabies.  He never met a stranger and was always the life of the party.  He would always and gladly give to anyone in need never asking for anything in return.  He will be greatly missed by all, especially his dogs, Molly & Buddy.  He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Maverick Berry; brother Garry Davidson; sister, Virginia Miller, Linda Bently, Grova Nell Pendergraff, Patricia Harris.

          Survivors include his wife Ruth; daughters, Sherri Benson & Jason of Heavener, OK, Lisa Berry & Daniel Sr. of Ft. Smith, AR, Anna Shadwick of Poteau, OK; son, Joe Davidson & Nanette of Shady Point, OK; grandchildren, Kimberlee Harris & Mark, Bryan Benson, Daniel Berry Jr. & April, Charity Abernathy & Bradley, Jacob & Joshua Davidson, Hayden, Haylee & Hunter Shadwick; great grandchildren, Adalee Harris, Jaxon, Blaine & Austin Berry, Isaac, Wyatt, Rylee and Ellie Abernathy; brothers, Mike Davidson of Keota, OK, Johnny Davidson & Josie of Poteau, OK; sisters, Kathy Rainwater of Poteau, OK Betty Steelman & Larry of Heavener, OK, Helen Morgan & Larry of Lawton, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau with Jim Cook & Doyle Martin officiating.  Burial will be at Shady Point Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Hayden Shadwick, Joshua & Jacob Davidson, Bryan Benson, Mark Harris, Daniel Berry Jr..  Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Shadwick, Austin, Jaxon & Blaine Berry and Bradley Abernathy.

          Visitation will be Friday evening 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
