Gerald David Pinnell, 71,
of Pocola, OK passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020 in Pocola, OK. Gerald was born
May 20, 1949 in McCurtain, OK to Arnold & Flora (House) Pinnell. Gerald was
an electrician at Bremner. He was in the 4th Armored Division 51st infantry
regiment in Germany during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971. He was an active member of
the Lighthouse Family Worship Center in Pocola, OK. Gerald was preceded in
death by his parents and one sister Shelba Hardin.
Survivors include his wife,
Barbara; daughter, Laurie Burnett of Fort Smith, AR; son Clinton Pinnell of McAlester, OK; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Hinton, Melissa Maul,
Sebastian Pinnell, Madison Pinnell, and Chandler Pinnell; 3 great grandchildren, Abby Hinton, Annabelle
Hinton, Jameson Maxwell Maul; 3 sisters,
Wanda Miller of Roseville, CA, Donna Orr
of McCurtain, OK, Marilyn McClellan of McCurtain, OK; 3 brothers, Dwayne Nix of Bixby, OK, Kenneth
Nix of McCurtain, OK, Michael Pinnell of Wagner, OK; numerous nieces & nephews, other relatives, loved ones and
friends.
Service will be 10 am,
Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Lighthouse Family Worship Center, Pocola, OK with Pastor
Scott Quick officiating. Burial will follow at Old Panther Cemetery, McCurtain,
OK. Pallbearers will be Ryan Hinton, Sebastian Pinnell, Jason Maul, Cody Shadwick,
Tyler Orr, Clinton Pinnell. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Orr, Paul Orr,
Billy Manning , Lionel Burnett.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm
Monday at Evans & Miller, Pocola,OK.
