Theresa Marie Hankins, 62, of Wister,
OK passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018, in Ft. Smith, AR. Theresa was born March 10, 1956, in
Centralia, IL to Leslie & Lenora (Brown) Hankins. Family and dear friends meant so much to
Theresa. She loved softball, riding
horses, swimming, driving, watching westerns and movies. She loved watching and playing with her
boys. Theresa loved working with her Dad
at Anything. She collected Beanie
Babies, coins; most of all she loved laughing and visiting with friends &
family; having her sister cook for her; Kim’s cornbread and chocolate gravy;
many, many hours of phone conversations with friends & family. She was preceded in death by her parents and
sister, Elenor Sue Hankins.
Survivors include her sister &
brother in law, Kathy & Vernon Shatwell of Sapulpa, OK; brother &
sister in law, Burr Head & Karen Hankins of Red Oak, OK; 4 nephews &
spouses, Brian & Sherry Shadwick of Wister, OK, Cody Shadwick of McAlester,
OK, Terril & Jennifer Hankins, Jacky & Tera Hankins of Blackwell, OK;
great nieces & nephews, Hannah & Braven Shadwick, Madelyn, Holland
Hankins, Drake & Aleah Hankins; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, June
19, 2018, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Cook
officiating. Interment will be at
Summerfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will
be Larry, Johnny and J.P. Baldwin, Danny Shadwick, Carl Hastings, Randy
Burgess. Honorary pallbearers will be
Randy Tolbert, Braven Shadwick, Drake
Hankins.
The
family will be at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with
relatives & friends.

R.i.p Theresa you were more then a client to me you were family and a amazing friend words can’t even start to explain how much you mean to me, my kids, and my husband.. I know you are in a better place with no more pain.. we sure did have some fun together lol like when we went to the bargain shake for hours.. then we had some sad times together when we had to put (happy) down.. but through it all I gained family 4 Year’s went a way to fast I enjoyed working for you.. love you fly high my friend..
