Ed Covey, 79, of Wister, OK
passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at his home. Ed was born May 20, 1938 in Wister to Bill
& Inez (Call) Covey. He was an avid
horseman and a retired sheet rocker. He
was preceded in death by his wife, Marietta; his parents; grandson, Stormy
Ryburn; sisters, Flora Nichols, Christene Adams and Ellen Whitmore; brother in
law, Jerry Nelson; nephews, John Whitmore & Gary Nichols; niece, Kelly
Whitmore.
Ed is survived by his son
& daughter in law, Sean & Devin Covey of Howe, OK; daughter & son
in law, Kim & Ronnie Covey of Stigler, OK; 3 grandkids, McKenna, Brooklyn
& Andruw of Howe, OK; brother, Jack
& Jane Covey; sister, Eula May Nelson all of Wister; best friend,
Onor Roop & her husband Rick; provider & friend, Joy Edwards; 2
grandpups, Franky & Lyla; nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and
friends.
Services will be 1 pm,
Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Ellis Chapel Church, Wister, OK with Kane Riggs
officiating. Interment will follow in
Ellis Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will
be David Adams, Johnnie Meeks, C.W. Covey, Craig Kardokus, Leon Midgley, Doug
Shipman.
