Vina E. McCollom, 87, passed away on Friday, July 14th,
2017 at her home in Bokoshe, OK. Vina was born at Nubbin Ridge to John Oscar and Bessie
Phillips on September 12, 1929. Vina was a homemaker. She was preceded in death
by her husband Juel Junior McCollom (4/7/2007), a daughter Diana McCollom, a
grandson, Adam Whitecotton, a sister, Deloris Miller and 2 brothers, Fred
Phillips and JR Phillips.
Vina was a special, strong woman who told it
like it was and always gave her honest opinion, but always had time for her
family and friends. She had that quality of making all of her family and
friends feel special and know they were loved. She was loved by many and will
be greatly missed.
She is survived by Peggy and Dale Whitecotton, Bokoshe, OK,
Jim and Judy McCollom, Guymon, OK, Larry and Terrie McCollom, Lavaca, AR, Gayla
and Wiley Williamson, Panama, OK, Joy and Larry (LC) Culwell, Bokoshe, OK, Jan
and Robin Pearson, Choctaw, OK, June and Butch Lovell, Kansas City, MO, Jeri
and Steve Mansour, Oklahoma City, OK, 18 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren,
19 great great grandchildren, 1 sister, Margaret McCollom, Bokoshe, OK and
numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Graveside services will be on 10 am, Monday, July 17, 2017
at Nubbin Ridge Cemetery with Jim Cook officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Dale Jr
Whitecotton, Duane Whitecotton, Larry Wayne McCollom, Jimmy "Bubba"
McCollom, Paul Culwell, Steven Culwell and Justin Williamson.
The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon
from 2-4 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
