Josee Nathalie McGowen, 85, of Poteau,
OK passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Ft.
Smith, AR. Josee was born April 28, 1928 in Brussels, Belgium
to Fabien & Mary Julia (Van den Broeck) Dricot. She was a homemaker. Josee was preceded in death by her parents;
husband, Bill; 2 children, Patricia Kay McGowen and Allen Lee McGowen; and one
sister, Amandine.
She is survived by her nieces & nephews; Judith,
Carol, Linda, Virginia, Janette, Barbara, Patti, Greg,
Gene, John & James.
Services will be 4 pm, Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Community
of Christ in Fanshawe, OK
with Sally & Greg McGowen, Neil Brannon, and Sue McAlester officiating. Interment will follow in Fanshawe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Nowlin, Wes McGowen,
Heath Branscum, John Paul McAlester, Jeremy Nikel & Jerry McAlester.
The family will be at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

As a former Poteau resident, my husband and I attended church with Josee. She always had a smile and a loving heart. We remember her with love in our hearts. She was an excellent baker too - we recall the wonderful desserts she always brought to the church potlucks. We are glad she is at peace in the Lord!
