Winifred Fern
“Winnie” Karl, 92, of Pocola, OK passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in
Pocola. Winnie was born September 26, 1920
in Wray, CO to Joe & Mary (Kibel) Andrews.
She was a homemaker. Winnie loved
flowers, gardening, singing, and church.
She always taught Sunday School.
She loved her family, friends and being with her grand and great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in
death by her parents; husband, James Karl; 5 brothers & 1 sister.
Survivors include
her daughter & son in law, Mary & Dale Brigance of Pocola, OK; son
& daughter in law, Bobby “Tiny” & Cheryl Harris of California; 2
grandchildren, Amy Anderson of Pocola, Malia Harris Mills & husband, Tad of
California; 2 great grandchildren, Chase Ridenour and Emma Ridenour; 1 sister,
Opal Shaffer of California; numerous nieces, nephews; other relatives &
loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 2
pm, Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Pocola
Heights Free
Will Baptist
Church, Pocola, OK
with Rev. Clifford Myers & Rev. Jackie Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery,
Spiro. Pallbearers will be James Karl,
Hank Karl, Rex Lokey, Jack Lokey, Dale Brigance, & Chase Ridenour.

I remember staying the nights with her when Mary was on night shift. She would stay up late watching CMT Music Videos with Amy and I line dancing and two stepping, the best part was she was the better dancer and we would always fall asleep before her, I will always hold my greatest memories of you, I love you Granny!
