Lavinia Jane Quigg,
95, of Poteau, OK passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 in Poteau. Lavinia was born October 4, 1917 in Avery, OK
to O.W. & Drucella (Sample) Wilcher.
She was a homemaker. Lavinia was
a member of the Poteau
Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents;
first husband, Fred Murfin; second husband, Clyde Quigg; sister, Zula Province;
grandsons, Steve Chandler, Mikal Morphis; great grandson, Colton Samuels; son
in law, Winford Chandler.
Survivors include
her daughter, Carolyn Chandler of Poteau, OK; special daughters, Shirley Thomas
of Monroe, OK, Judy Payne of Cushing, OK; special granddaughters, Jeanie Hayden
of Paris, AR, Kim Burns of Shreveport, LA, Jamie Williamson of Eldorado, AR,
Kecia Chandler, Mia Miller, and Natasha Samuels of Poteau, Lydia Brown of Ft.
Smith, AR; 6 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Edna Mae Eason of Azle, TX, Izetta
Holland of Burleson, TX; brother, Frank Wilcher of Houston, TX; other relatives
& loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be 10
am, Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Poteau
Church of Christ
with Don Cherry officiating. Interment will follow in Monroe Cemetery,
Monroe, OK. Pallbearers will be Bob Marchant, Randy Lum,
Dick Moore, Jack Baker, Rendall Thompson, Cecil Williams.
In lieu of flowers
donations may be made to the Patrick Lynch Library Fund.
