Frances "Mema" Barnett, 70, of Wister, OK passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 in Fort Smith, AR. Frances was born December 3, 1939 in Oklahoma City, OK to Elmer & Gertrude (Edwards) Friend. Frances worked at Flanders where she was secretary of the union. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; 5 brothers & 4 sisters. She is survived by 2 daughters, Pam Ward & husband, Ron of Pocola, OK, Carol Ann Amos of Poteau, OK; 2 sons, James Elmer Barnett of Wister, OK, Ricky Allen Barnett of Poteau, OK, 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren; sister, Catherine Dewees of Oklahoma City, OK, brother, David Friend of Moore, OK; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.
Services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, June 29, 2010 graveside at Milton Cemetery, Milton, OK with Rev. Gene Benson officiating. Interment will follow in Milton Cemetery.
