Anita Z. Gillion

Anita Zee Gillion, 77, of Bokoshe, OK passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Anita was born February 21, 1941 in Bokoshe, OK to Wilson Yandell & Ila Oda (Copeland) Means.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Alan Tobler & brother Dub Means.

          Survivors include her son Douglas Gillion & partner R.C. of Bokoshe, OK; sister,  Peggy & Sherman Dix of Stigler, OK; brother, Curtis & Kathy Means of Athens, TX; sister in law, Kathy Holcomb of Spiro, OK; nieces, Sherry Lynn King, Randee Jo Weaver, Nicole Means; nephews, Corbet Means & Dennis Dix; numerous great nieces & nephews; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Services will be 2 pm, Friday, October 19, 2018,  at Old Bokoshe Cemetery Pavilion with Sherman Dix officiating. 

Carl J. PIersant

Carl Joseph Piersant, 58, of Howe, OK passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018, in Howe.  Carl was born February 5, 1960, in Amarillo, TX to Carl Edward & Ruby Imogene (Ary) Piersant. He was a veteran of the US Marines.  Carl was the owner/operator of American Janitorial as well as  Carl & Gail’s Restaurant.  He also worked for various police forces.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

          Survivors include his wife Gail of the home; sisters, Kathleen Piersant, Carla Ellis & Helen Miller; brothers, Richard Piersant & Donald Piersant; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Services  will be 2 pm, Friday, October 19, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Poteau, OK with Father Jim Caldwell officiating.   Burial will follow at Heavener Memorial Park, Heavener, OK.  Pallbearers will be Phillip Warren, Marcel Livesay, Jim Noggle, Thomas Schubert, Donald Piersant, Richard Piersant & Ronnie Branscum.

          Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 pm with Rosary  at 7 pm  at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK.

Dennis Mills

Dennis Ray Mills, 52, of McAlester, OK passed away Saturday, October 6, 2108 in McAlester, OK.   Dennis was born November 2, 1965, in Ft. Smith, AR to William Lenville & Linda (Pipkins) Mills.  He was a carpenter.  Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sons & daughters in law, William & Lacey Mills of Howe, OK, Remington & Mikayla Derryberry of Pensboro, WV; daughters, Lacey Mattox of Howe, OK, Destiny Benson of Fanshawe, OK; brother, Ronald Mills of Spiro, OK; 4 grandchildren, Gracie Mattox, Brinley Mills, Remmie Derryberry & Wyett Benson; numerous nieces & nephews; many loved ones.

          Family visitation will be 5-8 pm, Friday, October 12,  2018 at Evans & Miller Funeral Home,  Poteau, OK.  Private services will be held at a later date.

Richard Thomas Jr.

 Richard Robert Thomas Jr, 77, of Cameron, OK passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in Cameron.  Richard was born July 4, 1941 in Indianola, OK to Richard Sr. & Lillie (Talburt) Thomas.  He was preceded in death by wife, Donna Raye Thomas. 

          Survivors include his wife, Mary Thomas of Panama, OK; daughters & sons in law, Sandra & Anthony Richards of Cedarville, AR, Shelly & Leonard Anderson of Poteau, OK, Tammy & Marvin Trout of Cameron, OK; grandchildren, David & Patricia Anderson of Dallas, TX, Amber Anderson & Cassandra Anderson of Tahlequah, OK, Troy Anderson of Poteau, OK, Brittany & Harold Adams, Caleb Richards all of Van Buren, AR, Jacob Richards of Cedarville, AR, Aryan Nichole Armstrong & Taylor Turner, Lisa Trout all of Cameron, OK;  4 Great Grandchildren; other relatives loved ones and friends.

          Services will be 2 pm , Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion with Mark Thornbrugh  officiating.  Pallbearers will be Caleb & Jacob Richards, Harold Adams, Taylor Turner, Troy & David Anderson.

          The family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4-6  pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Billy Jack Wilson Jr.

         Billy Jack Wilson Jr, 37, of Poteau, OK passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 in Poteau.  Billy was born January 27, 1981, in Poteau to Billy Jack Sr. & Ronda (Weaver) Wilson.   Billy was a loving, caring person.  He didn’t have anything bad to say about anyone and found the good in everything.  He lived his life making everyone around him happy and never considered his own happiness.   Billy was an amazing son, brother, father, and uncle.  Heaven gained another angel and he will look over his whole family from above, always making sure they are ok, just like he did here on earth.  He is close in our hearts and souls.  Billy will be missed very much.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bobby Weaver.

          Survivors include  his mother, Ronda Weaver;  brother, Jeremy James & wife Ashley; nephews, Stephen Sears, Hunter and Aiden Sears, Tavis Morris, Johnathan Ralls; niece, Britney James; grandfather, Clifford Weaver; uncle & aunt, Randy & Tanna Weaver; cousins, Randall Weaver, Brittany Raymond, Brandon  & Angela Weaver, Hanna Weaver, Paige Weaver; many others who loved him dearly.

          Services will be 10 am Friday, at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau, OK.
