Jervin Mosley


Jervin Elan Mosley, 87, of Monroe, OK passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK.  Jervin was born June 3, 1933 in Laverne, AL to John W. & Velmer (Harrison) Mosley.  He was a veteran of the US Army; a member of the Myrtle Masonic Lodge # 145 in Oklahoma City.    He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria; daughter, Brenda Mosley; brother, Gerald Mosley;  stepdaughter, Marty Ware; stepson David Meeks. 

Survivors include his son, Steven Mosley; Stepdaughter, Gwen Vandiver; sisters, Nina Cauthron of Monroe, OK, Pat Knowles of OKC & Joyce Scott of Ohio; 5 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 1 pm, Friday, July 31, 2020 at Monroe Cemetery Pavilion

George Weaver


George Wayne Weaver, 85, of Panama, OK passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 in Ft. Smith, AR.  George was born May 3, 1935 in Pittsburg, OK to Elmer Sr. & Mary (Martin) Weaver.   When George was a young boy his family moved to Bokoshe, OK where he lived until 1956 when he joined the US Air Force.  After his tour was finished he was honorably discharged.  He met Etta Faye Fletcher the loved of his life for 63 years.  They were married January 5, 1957 in Sayer, OK.  To this union a daughter was born.  He was a truck driver, mechanic; there was nothing he couldn’t fix and was also a tire laborer.  George & Etta moved to Panama, OK in 1973.  George loved fishing and hunting until his health declined.  He accepted Jesus on September 15, 2002 and was baptized at New Mount Pleasant Church in Heavener, OK where he served as Sunday School teacher and Deacon.  He was preceded in death by his parents; great grandson, Douglas Byrd ; 3 brothers & 2 sisters.

He is survived by his wife – Etta Faye; daughter Susan (Weaver) Crowder & husband Randy of Weatherford, OK;  grandchildren, Diana Holdman & husband James, Michael Bradshaw & wife Rhonda, Christina Avery, Bobbi Jo Perez & husband Carmelino; great grandchildren, Stefanie Ivey & husband Jason, Tori Maxwell, Christyl Morgan, Marcos Perez & Christian Perez; great great grandchildren, Stormie Ivey, Nathan Maxwell & Kennedi Williams; brother, Frankie Weaver of Rock Island, OK; sister, Judy of Miller of Michigan; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 11 am, Friday, July31, 2020 at Old Bokoshe Cemetery Pavilion, Bokoshe, OK with Jim Cook officiating.  Pallbearers will be Shawn Knight, Leon Lowrimore, Thomas Brown, Carmelino Perez, Marcos Perez, Ron Cline, Frank Weaver Jr.  The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 to visit with relatives & friends.
                          

Billy G. Lackie

Billy George Lackie, 82, of Pocola, OK passed  away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 in Pocola.  Billy was born October 13, 1937 in Levi, AR to George Euell & Susie Ford (Nixon) Lackie.  Billy served 26 years in the US Army.  He retired as an E7 Sgt. 1st Class.  He was very dedicated to his country as well as his family.  Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who never met a stranger and treated those whom he met as family.  He was beyond generous to all those he loved.  Billy also served as a  Sheriff’s Deputy as well as a Volunteer Fire fighter in Pulaski County in Arkansas.  All those who knew him loved his personality and his friendship.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce B. Lackie and grandchildren, Destiny & Jackson.

Survivors include his children, Brian K. Lackie, Anthony J. Lackie, Susan E. Robison & husband Zachary R., Christopher A. Lackie all of Pocola, Jerome D. Lackie & wife Maryann of Tulsa, OK; 16 grandkids; 21 great grandkids soon to be 23;  brothers, Jackson Euell Lackie & James R. Lackie of Jacksonville, AR, Robert Joe Lackie of Kansas City, MO; sister, Karen S. Lee of Jacksonville, AR; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Friday, July 31, 2020 at Fort Smith National Cemetery with Jim Stem officiating.  Pallbearers will be Christopher Lackie & Jerome Lackie of US Army, Justin Lackie of US Marines, Stephen Robison of US Navy, Richard McGehee – Sheriff’s Deputy, and Anthony Lackie.  Honorary pallbearers will be Brian K. Lackie, Johnathan Decker, Nathan Kirby, George Lackie, Nickolas Robison & Noah Lackie.
The family will be at the funeral home in Pocola on Thursday from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Harold Cox Jr.


Harold Ray Cox Jr., 67, of Cameron, OK passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at his home.  Harold was born October 30, 1952 at Camp Chaffee, AR to Harold Ray Sr. & Ethel Pauline (Goins) Cox.  He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Summer Dawn Cox; sister, Wanda Frazier and nephew, Garret Frazier.

Survivors include his wife Linda (Fruen - married 9/18/1971); children, Michael & Jody Cox, John Cox & fiancé Angie and Christina & Daniel Austin; grandchildren, Destiny, Justin, Michael & Rachel Cox, Adilynn & Cadence Cox, Brittany Hood & fiancé Brandon Crossland, Brittany Murray,  Shane & Amber Murray; great grandchildren, Savanna Hargis, Alexis Cox, Jaiden & Lainey Murray; sister, Alice & Gary Slater; brother, Charley & Carla Cox; special friends, Skeeter Sweeten, Billy & Marla Wilson, Mark Pendergrass, Terri Cox ; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 10 am, Monday, July 27, 2020 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Steve Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK. Visitation will be 2-4 pm Sunday afternoon.
