Ricky L. Mintz

Ricky Lewis Mintz, 52, of Bokoshe, OK passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 in Bokoshe.  Ricky was born October 7, 1964 in Durant, OK to Kenneth & Charlene (Whitmore) Mintz.  He was a veteran of the US Army. Ricky was a truck driver and a minister.

Survivors include his wife Angela of the home; sons & daughters in law, Justin & Whitney Mintz of Fordyce, AR, Dustin & Lauren Mintz of Quinton, OK,  Trevor & Brittany Mintz of  Hugo, OK, Travis & Alex Mintz  of Poteau, OK; 7 grandchildren, Andru, Kobe, Benjamin, Noah, Khloe, Athan & Conner; sister, Diane Moore; brothers, Clyde Chavers, Warron Chavers & Brian McLaughlin; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Ellis Chapel Church, Wister, OK  with Revs. George Mantooth and Gary Horton officiating.  Interment will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Dan Jackson, Terry Strain, Jeff Creekmur, Steve Greenwood,  Tyler Nelson, Rick Rector.

The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Jesse Joseph James

Jesse Joseph James, 67, of Poteau, OK passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in Heavener, OK.  Jesse was born April 27, 1950 in Talihina, OK to Warren & Salud (Ortiz) James.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Lee; sister, Lavina Corrine James (Adkins) and nieces Jeri Marie Dale, April Goines; many from these families, James, Carshall, Guillet, Maxwell, Ford, Montgomery, Buckner, Hardy & Seagraves.

Jesse is survived by his brothers, Gibson James Jr., of Heavener, OK, Frankie Dallas James, Warren Dean James & wife Rebecca Sue all of Poteau, OK, Teddy Joe James & wife Teresa of Okmulgee, OK; sister, Mary Ann James Abney & husband Gene Abney of Poteau, OK; nephews & nieces, Timmy Ray Dale, Jimmy Dean Dale, Teri Ann Dale (Minnis), Bradley Justice Adkins, Sheri Justina Adkins, Trudy Faye Walkup, Leslie Allen Adkins, Evelyn Marie Adkins, Rose Marie Adkins, Kristy Sue James, Kimberly Dawn James, Karen Rashell James, Tiffany James, Brandi James, Jonathan James, Amanda James, Warren Dean James II, Lela James, Jeremy James, Justin James, Renae James, Eddie James, Marilyn James, Lisa James,  Christopher James, Jason Dewayne Adkins, Sheryl Adkins; lots of cousins too numerous to mention; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Graveside services will be 10 am, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at  James Cemetery, Calhoun. 

King Charles Sisco

King Charles Sisco,82, of Panama, OK passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in Poteau.  Charles was born February 22,1935 in Harmony, AR  to O.B. & Viola (West) Sisco.   He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Mary Gayle (Howery)  Sisco and Carol (Moore) Sisco; sisters, Wanda Prater & Betty Turney of OKC, Anna Lou Capell of Poteau; brothers, Bob Sisco of OKC  & Clyde Sisco of CA & Panama.

Survivors include his sons, Don & wife Robin  of OKC, Tim & wife LeAnn of Poteau, Steven of Panama,  grandchildren; Jeremy & Amanda, Steffany Ruth, Braxton, Steven, Samantha, James David, Connie; 7 great grandchildren;  sister, Kathy Williams of Rock Mart, GA; brother, Kenneth of Shady Point; numerous nieces & nephews from everywhere.

Services will be 10 am, Friday, July 28, 2017 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in Shady Point Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be family members.

The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
