Richard Jennings Ansson Jr.

          Richard Jennings Ansson Jr., 46, of Phoenix, AZ (formerly of Poteau, OK) passed away May 16, 2020. in Phoenix.  Richard was born March 19, 1974 in Marrero, LA to Richard Jennings Sr. & Patricia (Guillot) Ansson.  Richard was a former Law Professor and Assessment Research Manager in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness at the University of Phoenix.    Richard was a loving son, brother, and uncle.  He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed, until we see him again with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  We love you Rich. Godspeed.   Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar & Atha Tucker Ansson of Cameron, OK, Bobby Paul & Agnes Margret Guillot of New Orleans, LA.

          Survivors include his parents, Richard & Patricia Ansson of Tulsa, OK; sister & brother in law, Tricia & P.D. Spangler of Mt Vernon, MO; nephews, Patrick & Seth Spangler of Mt. Vernon; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, at Evans Chapel, Poteau, OK with  Father Jim Caldwell & Jim Cook officiating.

Robby Dean Dorey

 

         Robby Dean Dorey, 84 of Poteau, OK went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 21, 2020. Rob was born September 12, 1935 in Fort Smith, AR to Wilfred & Bertha (Wood) Dorey. Rob was well known and loved by many.  He worked as a carpenter for many years and was preceded by 9 siblings.

          Survivors include his daughter & son in law, Tracy & Rusty of Dallas, TX; grandson & wife, Garrett & Lindsay of Dallas, TX: twin brother, Bob Dorey & wife Wanda of Poteau, OK; brothers, Leo Dorey, Harrell Dorey & wife Barbara; sister, Wilma White all of California; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Viewing will be Tuesday, May 26, 2020 from 8 am – 8 pm at the funeral home.  Private services will be held due to the current health issues.

Ocie Bell Walker

Ocie Bell Walker, 98, of Poteau, OK passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in Poteau.  Ocie was born February 1, 1922 in Shady Point, OK to Frank & Lou (Fout) Harris.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Freda Armstrong; sons, Billy Walker & brother,  Kenneth Harris.

          Survivors include her sons, Mike Walker, Ira Walker, Joe Walker, Tom Baily, Bruce Baily, Carl Walker & Ralph Walker; daughter, Linda Walker; sisters, Alta Mayfield, Dorothy Griffin & Susie Scott; numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Graveside services will be 2 pm, Friday, May 22, 2020 at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK with Jim Cook officiating.

Paul Edward Colwell

      Paul Edward Colwell, 70, of Shady Point, OK passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in Shady Point.  Paul was born February 2, 1950 in Shady Point to William R. “Billie” & Bessie Lucritia (Bohannon) Colwell.  He was a veteran of the National Guard and worked in sales at Trans-America Tire Co.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents.

          Survivors include his son, Shaun Colwell; daughter, Robyn Brewer; grandchildren, Cole, Joy Lynn & Dalton Colwell, Rylee & Jackson Brewer; brothers, Billy Ray & David Colwell; sisters, Hazel Furr & Willen McDaniel; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
