Loeta Bryant


Loeta Bryant,  90, of Kinta, OK passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 in Poteau, OK. Loeta was born December 5, 1928 in Fish Creek, OK to Oren “Strut” Clark & Eddith (Gray) Powell.  She attended a semester at Northeastern Oklahoma State before returning to Kinta and working for Nicholson Grocery.  Later in life Loeta was the Kinta School Cafeteria Manager and also Library Assistant.  She was preceded in death by her son, Eldwin Bryant.



Survivors include her daughter, Diann Henson of Poteau, OK; grandchildren, Megan & Will Morrow, Nick Henson, Brent Henson, Tori & Joseph Smith, Ashley Harris,  Seth Bryant;  great grandchildren, Keaton, Kerstin, Kilee, Gunnur, Brittany, Mia, Kenzleigh, Renner, Brandon, Gauge, Grace; daughter in law, Dawn Bryant; sisters, Kaye & Odell Farriell, Anna Lou & Riley Roberts, Gayla & Dean Moore; brother, Clark & Connie Powell; numerous nieces, nephews; her church family at LaFayette Free Will Baptist whom she loved;  other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Services will be 2 pm, Monday, November 25, 2019 at First Baptist Church, Kinta, OK with Rev. Nathaniel Craig and Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow at San Bois Cemetery, Kinta. 
  Services are under the direction of King-Shearwood Funeral Home,. Stigler.

Ruth Morgan


Ruth Marie Morgan, 90, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Poteau.  Ruth was born December 16, 1928, in Franklin County, Washington to Jacob & Leatha May (Blair) Jacobsen.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands,  Perry McCollom and Everett Morgan.

She is survived by her brother, Donald Jacobsen; numerous nieces & nephews;  her church family at Poteau Church of Christ; other loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Monday, November 25, 2019 at Poteau Church of Christ, Poteau with Don Cherry officiating.

Jo Anne Garner


Jo Anne Garner, 65, of Poteau, OK passed away  Thursday, November 21, 2019 in Poteau.  Jo Anne was born  July 24, 1954 in Talihina, OK to Jim & Esterline (Carshall) Ford.  She was an LPN at the Choctaw Nation Clinic.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Lynn Garner III and grandson, Aarik Jo Thompson.



Survivors include her daughters, Amy & Les Cook of Edmond, OK, Ruth Garner  and Bobbie Kay Garner of Poteau, OK; son, Billy Ford of Poteau; grandchildren, Thomas & Ericka, Blaid, Tatum, Boden, Brooklyn, Talyn, Jessa & Alan, Desmond, Jaden and Jordan; great grandchildren, Kole, Izaiah and Paisley; brother, Jimmy Ford of Kyle, TX; other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Services will be 2 pm, Friday, November 29, 2019 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK.

Janet Powers


     Janet Lea Powers, 57, of Bokoshe, OK passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Janet was born July 24, 1962 in Poteau, OK to Phillip & Linda (Polcic) Arter.  She was preceded in death by her mother and sister, Lisa Arter.

     Survivors include her husband, Ricky; father, Phillip Arter; son Allen Arter; granddaughter, Laklynn Blayze Thomas; mother in law, Margaret Remer; brothers in law, Glenn Powers & Keith Crase; sisters in law, Shelley Powers & Tannyia Crase; special niece, Brittni Chronister; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
     Services will be 10 am, Friday, November 22, 2019 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK.  Burial will be at Old Cache Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Dustin Powers, Clayton Powers, Bradlee Chronister, Mike Brown, John Ollie and Steve Branaham.
     The family will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Paisley & Aubrey Arnold


 Paisley & Aubrey Arnold, infant girls of James & Bobbi (Brink) Arnold  went to be with Jesus Monday, November 18, 2019 in Ft. Smith, AR. 



They are survived by their parents; sister, Haley Stankiewicz; brothers, Anthony Stankiewicz & Brantley Arnold; grandparents, Meshallie & Shawn Jaeger, David Brink, Mary & Ray Arnold;  great grandparents, Bill & Jean Arnold, Leroy & Martha Caine, Roy & LeAnn Inells; other relatives & loved ones.



Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK.
