Hannah Rae McKenzie

Hannah McKenzie, 23 of Pocola, OK passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 in Pocola, OK.  Hannah was born December 1, 1993 to Mark and Shana (Winlock) McKenzie of Pocola, OK.  Hannah was preceded in death by her grandfather, Kenneth Winlock; Sean Amos, Karissa Underwood, who were like her brother and sister; uncle, Billy Wayne McKenzie.  Hannah was the love of her parents’ lives.

Survivors include her parents, Mark & Shana McKenzie of Pocola, OK; Grandparents, Billy & Joyce McKenzie of Pocola, OK and Roger & Sandy Evans. Shane Amos & Dody Luu who were like her brothers; the Underwood Family who were her extended family; Aunts, Kenni Elrod, Tangie Luu, Angie Childers and husband Randy, Nicole Page and husband David, Ranae Evans of CA; Uncles, Lance Winlock and wife Doris, David Winlock, Uncle VeDao and wife Tracy; cousins, Jeremy Luu and wife Lyndsey, Mindy Beesley and husband Chad, Dody Luu, Christopher McKenzie, Hunter and Landon McKenzie, Brittany and Kyle Winlock, Hailey and Kyle Finley, Krystal Blemmel, Reagan Page and Adrian Tucker, Mychelle, Anthony and Kimberly Dao. A host of other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 10am, Friday, July 28, 2017 at Pocola High School Gym, Pocola, OK with Jerry Underwood and Charles Poole officiating.  Interment will be at Macedonia Cemetery, Pocola, OK.  Pallbearers will be Dody Luu, Jeremy Luu, Shane Amos, Christopher McKenzie, Landon McKenzie and Brad Treat.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Winlock and Josh Atkins.

The family will be at the funeral home in Pocola on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 6 pm – 8 pm to visit with family and friends.

Carolyn Sue Cole

Carolyn Sue Cole, 73, of Howe, OK passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 in Howe.  Carolyn was born July 21, 1944 in Hatton, AR to Louis Marion & Alice Florence (Carter) Brewer.  She was a nurse's aide at the nursing home.

Survivors include her daughters, Geneva Smith of Poteau, OK, Tina Hoxit of Hodgen, OK, Laujanna Cole of Cameron, OK, Tammy Ferris of Joplin, MO; 8 grandchildren,  Dustin, Elizabeth, Michael, Scott, Ricky, Brandy, Whisper, Craig; sister, Rosetta Barnes of Poteau, OK; brothers, Louis Brewer of VA and Walter Barnes of Cameron, OK; 9 great grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 10 am, Wednesday, July 26, 2017  graveside at Slaytonville Cemetery, Slaytonville, OK.  Pallbearers will be Michael, Scott, Russ, Dustin, Chad & Steven.

Josephine Harjo

            Josephine Harjo, 77, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 in Talihina, OK.  Josephine was born September 18, 1939 in Red Oak, OK to Simon & Winnie Mae (Jackson) Carshall.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Taylor Harjo; brother, Lee Carshall & sister, Esterline Ford.

           Survivors include her sister, Merida  Hamilton of Poteau, OK; nieces and nephews; her dog,  Chawata; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

         Services will be 11 am, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK.  Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK.

Daylon Tyler Blue Farmer

Daylon Tyler Blue Farmer, 17, of Wister, OK passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his home.  Daylon was born January 4, 2000 in Siloam Springs, AR to Jeffrey David Farmer & Rachel L. (Jenkins) .  He was a student.  Daylon was preceded in death by his grandfather, Randy Mathews and great grandmother, Audrey Turknett.

Survivors include his parents, Marcus & Rachel Pickerel of the home; father, Jeffrey Farmer of Siloam Springs, AR; sisters, Katirina Farmer & Haily Pickerel; brothers, Michael Paul & Ely Farmer; grandparents, Freddie & Diane Turner, Suzy Mathews; great grandfather, Phillip Turknett; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; other loved ones and friends,.

Services will be 10 am, Thursday, July 27, 2017 graveside at Westville Cemetery, Westville, OK.  The family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Mildren Laverne "Granny" Billings

Mildred Laverne "Granny" Billings, 89, of Poteau, OK passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Poteau.  Mildred was born January 29, 1928 in Howe  to J.C. & Lettie Mae (Hickman) Shadwick.  She was a mother to everyone.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin Billings; brothers, Joe & Hotshot Shadwick & great granddaughter, Chelsey Hargrove.

Survivors include her daughter & son in law, Louise Billings Gillham & Bruce of Poteau; grandchildren, Pam England & husband Jacky of Sallisaw,  Les Gillham of Poteau, Bruce  Gillham & wife Robyn of Cameron; great grandchildren, Samantha Naylor & husband J.C.  of  Heavener, Kelsey Kincaid of Tulsa, Alexa, Megan & Cooper Gillham of Cameron, Noah Hargrove & wife Brooklyn  of Poteau; sister, Pat Johnson & husband Elton of Wister; brother, Smokey Shadwick & wife Alma of Spiro; great great grandchildren, Christopher Hetherington & Alyssa Hargrove; special friend, Randy Kennedy, her Domino Buddy; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

A Celebration of Granny's life  will be 2 pm, Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Wister Church of the Nazarene with Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in Wister City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be J.C. Naylor, Bruce, Cooper and Les Gillham, Jacky England,  Noah Hargrove.

The family will be at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
