Brad Whiteaker



Brad Harrison Whiteaker, 61, of Panama, OK passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Brad was born December 12, 1955 in Ft. Smith to Robert "Bob" Henry & Myrtle Ann (Duke) Whiteaker.   He was a wonderful son, brother, father and grandfather.  He loved his dog "George ", his chickens, fishing, gardening and watching OU football.  He was preceded in death by his father and nephew, Bobby Duke Whiteaker II.

Survivors include his mother, Myrtle Ann Whiteaker of the home; sons, Brad Whiteaker Jr. &  family of Panama, Chad Whiteaker & family of Springfield, MO;  daughters, Whitney Augustine & family  of Springfield, MO, Chelsea Moore Whiteaker of Sallisaw, OK; brother, Bobby Duke Whiteaker of Panama, OK; niece, Ashley Link & family of Fayetteville, AR, nephew, Phil Whiteaker & family of Ft. Smith, AR; cousin, Max Rowley & family  of Poteau, OK; five grandchildren; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Private family services were held at Fairview Cemetery, Panama, OK.

Linston C. Chronister



Linston C. Chronister, 75, of Wister, OK passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Wister.  Linston was born August 7, 1941 in Kinta, OK to Millard & Perna Bell (Fry) Chronister.  He worked on the railroad as a supervisor; in maintenance at CASC and Wister City Manager.     Linston loved coaching his kids and any kid that wanted to play.  He enjoyed driving the activity bus for Carl Albert State College and every kid he came in contact with there.  He also did a lot of coaching on the side to any kid who wanted some advice.  He would talk baseball to anybody who would listen.  He loved country music and would  sit and listen for hours on end.  He loved many things in life, some of the  things he loved was his family and friends.   His wife, children, grandkids, and great-grandkids were his life.  He loved watching baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, along with Westerns and many crime-related shows.  He loved mowing on his zero-turn lawnmower,  and he loved helping his friends.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #154 - Heavener, OK.   He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ray; brothers in law, Ray Newby, Jack Roe, Kenneth Davis & Leroy Calton;  sisters in law, Peggy Chronister & Norma Lee Calton; great grandson, Titus Harrison.





          Survivors include his wife Jeanie of the home;  daughters & son in law, Darlene & Krout Beason, Cindy Luman of Wister; 3 sons & daughter in law, Steve Chronister of Wister, Timmy & Nova Chronister of Poteau, Jacky Chronister of Springdale, AR; sisters Audria Roe and Betty Newby of Wister, OK; brothers, Bobby Chronister of Chanute, OK, Fay Chronister of Tulsa, OK, Eldred Chronister & wife Mary of Poteau, Buford Chronister & wife Shirley of Houston, TX, Jerry Perry & wife Colene  of Lubbock, TX; sisters in law, Phyllis Davis of Hodgen, Mary Donathan & Paula Pearson of Wister, grandchildren, Jordon, Justyn, Taylor & husband Wesley, Rusty, Gary & wife Kali, Courtney & boyfriend Austin, Cody & girlfriend Sadie,  Brittni, Bradlee, Makenzie, Brynn & Colton; and great grandchildren, Evanie, Zeke, Haven, Emery, Gus, Mackensie, Brayli, Paityn, Taryn, Preslei, & Cade; countless other family members and a host of friends.



Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church, Wister with  Bro. Clyde Steelman officiating.  Burial will be at San Bois Cemetery, Kinta, OK.  Pallbearers will be Rusty & Gary Beason, Jordon Chronister, Cody Luman, Bradlee Chronister, Dustin Vaughn.

The family will be at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Jane Ann Shippey



Jane Ann Shippey, 77, of Poteau, OK passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 in Oklahoma City.  Jane Ann was born July 29, 1939 in North Little Rock, AR to Verdel "Buck" & Ruth (Pence) Moore. 



Survivors include her husband Taylor Shippey; daughters, Kimberly, Dawn & Belinda; sons, Zacheriah "Zac" & Bobby; 9 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces & nephews; other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Services will be 10 am, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.  Pallbearers will be Jess Hammons, Colton Newton, Walker Newton, Will Hammons, Joe Hammons & Colby Brown. 



The family will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Tommy "Darrell" Maddox



Tommy "Darrell" Maddox, 59, of Muldrow, OK passed away January 13, 2017 in Pocola, OK.  Darrell was born June 9, 1957 in Clinton, OK to Tommy Earl & Louise Marie (Dixson) Maddox.  He was preceded in death by his brother, James Holly Dixson & sister, Linda Sue Rippy.



Survivors include  his wife, Jennifer Seaton of Muldrow; children Leslie Seaton of Ft. Smith, AR; 7 Grandchildren; sister, Marylin Morris of Ft. Smith, AR; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

      
Services will be 3:30 pm Saturday Old Time Holiness Pentecostal Church on N. 4th & H in Ft. Smith, AR.
