Dale Adams

Dale Adams, 93, of Spiro, OK went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in Poteau.  Dale was born in Panama, OK to Allen and Delia (Horn) Adams on June 12, 1923.  He was a veteran in the U.S. Army and a carpenter. He was a member of the Assembly of God church where he was a deacon for over 40 years.

 Dale was preceded in death by his Parents Allen and Delia Adams; Wife Jimmie Adams;  Three brothers William , Floyd, and Denver Adams; a sister Pearl Adams, daughter-in-law Sharon Adams, and a grandson Stephen Adams.

Survivors include his Daughter Donna Real and husband Stanley of Spiro, OK; Two sons Floyd Adams of Spiro,  Jim Adams and wife Sherry of Hollister, CA; 8 grandchildren; 9 Great grandchildren; 1 Great-Great grandchild; 3 brothers Robert Adams of Keota, James Adams of Oakdale, CA, and Harold Adams of Sun City, CA ; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Visitation will be 2pm to 4pm, Wednesday,  September 21, 2016 at Evans & Miller Funeral Home in Poteau. 

Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Calvary Assembly of God, Poteau, OK with Rev. Lynn Bullard and Rev. Mark Hodge officiating.  Interment will follow in Old Bokoshe Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Mike Ginther, Jerry Lovell, James Athey, Ron Scowden, Travis Real, Dennie Hall.

Patsy Pierce

Patsy Pierce, 74, of Panama, OK passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 in Panama.  Patsy was born June 17, 1942 in Poteau, OK to Leroy & Ora (Johnson) Sweeten.  She was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Pierce and grandson, Allan Pierce.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Charles "Roughneck" Pierce; son & daughter in law,  Randy & Zandra Pierce; daughter & son in law, Sherry & Brian Bishop; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and one on the way; brother, Herman Sweeten & his daughter Tina Lunsford; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Fairview Cemetery, Panama, OK. 

Carole Lee Leonard

Carole Lee Leonard, 63, of Spiro, OK passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 in Poteau.  Carol was born August 2, 1953 in Chula Vista, CA to Denton and Evie Leonard.  She was preceded in death by her parents; Twin brother Karl Leonard; and stepmother Alice Leonard.

Carol's favorite time was playing dominoes with her special partner Ernie Quiroz, Randy Kennedy, Mildred Billings, Marie Baxter, and Ed Riley. They would always attend the out of town tournaments and usually win the trophy. Carol always stayed busy with numerous activities including bingo, trips to the casino, and Walmart. She was a team member at McDonald's for over 10 years.  She also enjoyed being in the outdoors and loved her fishing trips. 

Survivors include her close friends Riley and Carol Smith of Poteau, Pam and Jack Barringer of Rogers, AR; an uncle Ed Leonard, as well as numerous Garrett and Cofer cousins. Carol also leaves behind her beloved cat, Crystal.

Visitation will be from 8am till service time at Evans & Miller Funeral Home in Poteau.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK. with Brother Lloyd Riddlespurger officiating. Interment will follow in Hall Cemetery. Honorary  Pallbearers will be Carol and Riley Smith, Pam and Jack Barringer, Ernie Quiroz, and Randy Kennedy.

Chloe Moss

          Chloe Jene Moss, infant daughter of Steven & Tegan (Toney) Moss passed away Friday, September 9, 2016.  Chloe was born September 9 in Tulsa, OK.

         Chloe is survived by her parents, Steven & Tegan; maternal grandparents, Wayne & Patty Toney; paternal grandparents, Shelia & Terry Moss; uncle, Terry Moss Jr.; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

       Graveside services will be 2 pm, Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Shady Point Cemetery, Shady Point, OK.
