Ted Black



Teddy Allen Black, 66, of Panama, OK passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Pocola, OK.  Ted was born December 8, 1949 in Ardmore, OK to Edgar Dewey & Betty June (Hamilton) Black.  He was an electrician.


Survivors include his wife, Melani of the home; daughter, Jami Lynn (Black) Miller of Wheeler, TX; son, Allen Black of Panama, OK; grandchildren, Jacob Helton, Jenna Helton, Kamdyn Black and Kadyn Black; mother in law, Lou Smith of Panama, OK; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Memorial services will be  11 am, Saturday, January 30, 2016 at First Assembly of God in Poteau, OK with Rev. Keith Williams officiating.

Freda Huggins



 Freda Lorene Huggins,  78, of Shady Point, OK passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. Freda was born January 12, 1938 in Cameron, OK to Samuel A. & Ethel (Easton) Potter.  She was retired owner/operator of Freda's Beauty Shop in Shady Point.  Freda was a member of the Greenhill Church of Cameron, OK.   She has been married to James V. Huggins for over 60 years.  Freda was preceded in death by her parents & 7 siblings.

Survivors include her husband, James of the home; two daughters, Jeanette Jamison of Shady Point, OK, Sheila Huggins of DeQueen, AR; one son, Terry Huggins and wife, Kris of Bokoshe, OK; sister Loeta Corley & husband Bill of Coweta, OK; sisters in law, Joyce Potter of Cameron, Ruby Potter of Tahoma, OK, Vera Helton of Poteau, OK, Betty Seaton of Panama, OK, Claudine Huggins of Ft. Smith, AR; brothers  in law, A.L. & Jenny Huggins of Caddo, OK, Odell & Faye Huggins of Stockton, CA; nine grandchildren, David, Dustin, Derrick Cheely, Dillon Jamison, Donnie Huggins, Jessica Josh and James Huggins, Jenny Summitt; seven great grandchildren, Tyler & Kaylee Cheely, Alona, Walker and Rylee Cheely, Isabella Huggins and Zayden Summitt; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 10 am, Saturday, January 30, 2016  at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.  Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.  Pallbearers will be David, Dustin & Derrick Cheely, Josh,  James & Donnie  Huggins and Dillon Jamison.


Jesse Crenshaw



Jesse Waylon Crenshaw, 35, of Spiro, OK passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Jesse was born May 28, 1980 in Ft. Smith, AR to James Thomas & Bonnie Jean (Moon) Crenshaw.  Jesse worked in construction as a carpenter and concrete finisher.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Crenshaw; maternal grandfather, Jesse Moon and paternal grandparents, James & Alma Crenshaw.

Survivors include his wife, Yolanda of the home; 2 daughters, Katrina Crenshaw and Nakaya Hogan; 4 sons, Kolton Crenshaw, Kegan Crenshaw, Bryson Hogan, and Hayden Hogan; stepfather & mother, Harold & Bonnie Starr; sisters, Dana & John Acree, Laura & Dee Mills, Marci & Leif Bauer; brother, Jimbo Crenshaw; maternal grandmother, Sandra Long; stepfather, Bill Maynor; numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Don Cherry officiating.  Interment will follow in Spiro City Cemetery, Spiro, OK.  Pallbearers will be Lelan Jefferson, Rustin Jefferson, Rick Chapa, Donnie Grigsby, Trey Byrd, Riley Byrd.

The family will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-7pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Cindy Smith



Cindy Sue Smith, 59, of Cameron, OK passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Cindy was born May 27, 1956 in Tulsa, OK to Jerry Mont  & Norma Jean (Butler) Morgan.  She worked in law enforcement. Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Smith; her father, Jerry Morgan; brother, Barry Clark Morgan.  Cindy never met a stranger.  She always tried to help anyone who was in need.



Survivors include her daughters, Amber Rose Smith and Esther Lea Smith of Cameron, OK; mother Norma Jean Morgan & brother, Jerry Joe Morgan brother of Broken Arrow, OK; mother in law, Evelyn Smith of Cameron, OK; special friend, Jim Berngen of Poteau, OK; other relatives, loved ones and friends.



Services will be 2 pm,  Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Don Cherry officiating.  Interment will follow in Slatonville Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jim Berngen, Paul Slone, Anthony Kirkland, and Donnie Wade.



The family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends

Mary Amos



Mary Ella Amos, 58, of Poteau, OK passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Mary was born  February 4, 1957 in Shady Point, OK to J.F. & Gracie Montgomery.  She was a stay at home mom  and later a provider.  She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George & Bill; sister, Betty Ann.



Survivors include her husband, Jerry Amos; son, Gerald Amos & fiancѐ  Mary McClellon of Poteau, OK; 2 daughters, Kathern & husband Nathan Marshall of Poteau, OK, Rhonda & husband Greg Sumpter of Fanshawe, OK; 3 granddaughters, Tessa, Savannah, and Shawnee; 3 grandsons, Dale, Noah, Thomas; great granddaughter, Karmen Grace; brothers, Jerry & wife Dorthy Montgomery of Summerfield, OK, Charles Montgomery, Tommy & wife Karen Montgomery of Poteau, OK; sister, Mary Montgomery of Henryetta, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Evans Chapel. Poteau.
