James" Jim" Porter Bandy

James" Jim"  Porter Bandy, 73, of Pocola, OK passed away November 23, 2015 in Pocola, OK. James was born October 29, 1942 in Monroe, OK to Beck & Lorene ( Blaylock) Bandy. He was retired from self employment from Arkhola Sand and Gravel. James and his family attended Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in Roland, OK. James loved life, pheasant hunting in South Dakota with his family, his dump trucks, and spending time with his grandson. He loved to share his passion for racing with his grandson every Saturday night. James joined the military in 1966 where he proudly served his country in the Vietnam War.

James was welcomed inside the gates of heaven by his father, mother, & brother Vester Neeson Bandy. He and his family are now together.

 Survivors include his wife of 52 years and 8 months, Janice (Martin) Bandy of the home; son Jason Bandy of Pocola, OK; grandson, Dakota Bandy of Pocola, OK; his little dogs, Dopie, Hope, & Little Tiki.

Services will be 2:00pm Friday November 27, 2015 at Evans memorial Chapel in Pocola, OK with Carl Cheshire officiating. Interment will follow at Monroe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Wann, Jimmy Borham, James Barnard, Floyd Irby, David Scott, & Heath Borham. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Krigbaum, Alex Jones, Jason Hartnett, Justin Larue, Ivan Cummings, David Smith, David Borham, & Mike Lowrimore.

The family will be at the funeral home Thursday November 26, 2015 from 6-8pm to visit with friends.

Joyce Laverne Fox

Joyce Laverne Fox, 72 of Cameron, OK passed away November 23, 2015 in Cameron, OK. She was born June 27, 1943 in Cameron, to Hiram J. & Elcie E. (Archey) Hale. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bob Fox.

She is survived by 2 sons, Terry Hale & wife Damita of Cameron, OK, Robert Fox and wife Bobbi of Cameron, OK; 4 grandchildren, Mark & Mai Xee Hale, Amanda Pai, Bryce & Dannon Fox, & Brady Fox; 4 great grandchildren, Mak, Keegan, Mona, & Mace; brother, Lindsey Hale & wife Pam of Cameron, OK; numerous other family & friends.

Services will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday November 25, 2015 Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, OK with Rev. Jim Cook & Jeff Little officiating. Interment will follow at Fairhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Keith Robinson, Kevin Robinson, Bryce Fox, Brady Fox, Mark Hale, & Lafe Hale.

Richard Walden

Richard Walden, 71, of Keota, OK passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 in Ft. Smith, AR. Richard was born February 27, 1944 in Ft. Smith, AR. He was a Factory worker. Richard was a member of Bethel Lighthouse Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Thomas and Mary Owen.

Survivors include his wife, Lois R. Walden of the home; 2 sons & daughters in law, Jerry L. & Tamara Walden of Keota, OK, Richie A. & Colleen Walden of Ft. Smith, AR; 3 grandchildren Amber & Jack Johnson, Airman Drew Walden, & Dakota Walden; 3 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Gladys Cavanaugh of Ft. Smith, AR, Louise Dority of Ft. Smith, AR, Naomi House of Missouri, & Annabell Owen of Ft. Smith; 3 brothers, Fred Walden of Roseville, CA, Robert Walden of Bokoshe, OK, & Melton "JR" Walden of Gulfport, MS; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Graveside services will be Tuesday November 24, 2015 at 2:00pm at Old Cache Cemetery with Rev. James Hill officiating. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be Mark Walden, Allen Real, Elvis Williamson, Jack Johnson, Michael Tomlin, George Vincent. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Cavanaugh, Daniel Tomlin, & Darrel Vincent.

The family will be at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8pm to visit with relatives & friends.

Melinda Thompson

Melinda Sue "Minnie" Thompson, 47, of  Bokoshe, OK passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 in Bokoshe, OK.  Melinda  was born December 9, 1967 in Poteau, OK to Lewis & Brenda (Isaac) Lawson.   She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christy Lynn; her father; grandparents, Presley Jr. Isaac, Wanda (Ritter) Harrison, Sonny Lawson.

Survivors include her husband, Sherman Thompson of the home;  her mother, Brenda Graywolf of Spiro, OK; sister, Melissa Harris of Gans, OK; brother, Presley Lawson of Spiro, OK; grandmother, Pat Isaac of Poteau, OK; nieces & nephews, Melanie, Zachery, Alex, Ashlynne, Konna; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2pm, November 23, 2015 at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, OK with Brother Stuart officiating. Interment will follow.
