Eddie Glenn

Eddie O. Glenn, 73, of  Arkoma, OK passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Eddie was born April 26, 1947 in Oklahoma City, OK to Oscar Olen & Wilma Mae (Glenn) Glenn.  Eddie started in education at the age of 22 & served over 40 years as an administrator, coach, bus driver, teacher & librarian.  He wore many hats and had a memory like an elephant; he remembered students’ names and faces from many years past.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

          Survivors include his wife, Lynette of the home; daughters & sons in law, Michelle & Tracy White of Poteau, OK, Jamie & Justin Earls of Pocola, OK, Mandy Jo Morrison of Ft. Worth, TX, Stephanie & Stefan Reed of Moore, OK; son & daughter in law, Grant & Teedra Glenn of Poteau, OK; 8 grandchildren, Gavin, Adelyn, Hailey, Harlie, Talon, Kenzie, Jace & Cash; sister, Kathy Quirk & husband Paul of Norman, OK; sister in law, Debbie Barnard & husband Craig of Moore, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.

          Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Life Church in Ft. Smith, AR with Stefan Reed, Blake Taylor, Steve Reed & Jarrod Clark officiating.  Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK.  Pallbearers will be Jace Morrison, Talon Tuck, Tracy White, David Quirk, Glenn Quirk and Nick Smallwood.  Honorary pallbearers will be  Cash Morrison, Gavin Glenn.

          “On the day of Eddie’s birth the world stood still!! On the day he left this world ‘Our Hearts Stood Still’”.

          The family will be at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 pm to visit with relatives & friends.

  1. Prayers for your family. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn were two of my favorite people ever and I am so glad that I was able to reconnect with Eddie thru FB over the past few years. My heart is broken. God bless and comfort you all.
