Robert Larry Willgues, 68, died peacefully at the home of his son
in Columbia City, IN at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, February 10,
2016. He had been in failing health.
He was born January 2, 1948 in Akron, Ohio
a son of the late Robert Lehr and Mary Louise (Hamby) Willgues. His formative years were spent in Akron where he graduated
high school.
He was a career truck driver spending the last
10 years of his career with Dave Walter BMW in Akron. He was an avid Harley-Davidson fan and
rider. He also enjoyed fishing, boating
and cherished his time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his three sons, Thadd
Mitchell, Columbia City, Ricky (Brittany) Willgues and Ryan Willgues, both of
Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Tyler Mitchell, Lily Willgues, Paisley Willgues
and Oliver Willgues; a great granddaughter, Vivian Burlage; a brother, Ronald
Pompili of Poteau, Oklahoma and a dear cousin, Iva McDaniel Sadler, Perry,
Oklahoma. .
Graveside services will be 10 am, Wednesday,
February 17 at Oakland
Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau, Oklahoma
with Evans & Miller Funeral Home, Poteau,
Oklahoma handling the
arrangements.
Preferred memorials are to Parkview Home Health
and Hospice.
