Billy Charles Carroll, 71,
of Poteau, OK passed away Saturday,
August 29, 2015 in Ft. Smith, AR. Billy
was born April 1, 1944 in Paris, AR. He
was a veteran of the US Army serving Vietnam War.
Billy worked as a surveyor. He
was the patriarch of the family. He
loved to fish & hunt but his passion
was in the kitchen. He would watch the
cooking shows to find his next recipe and into the kitchen he would go. If you were lucky to go by at lunch you knew
you were in for a treat. Our
Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners will never be the same . He was a wonderful, dedicated caregiver for
his brother Leonard. Billy would help
anyone who needed help. He was a
graduate of Poteau High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill
& Violet Carroll; sisters, Dorothy Thompson and Donna Timms; brother, Cecil
Carroll.
Survivors include his
sisters, Sharon Lopez & Mack Brewer , Judy & Jack Holderfield of Kinta,
OK, Sue & Lanny Akers of Wister, OK; brothers, John & Martha Carroll of
Poteau, OK, Larry Carroll of Van Buren, AR, Leonard Carroll of Poteau, OK; his
beloved dog, Mr. Biggs; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones
and friends.
Services will be 2 pm,
Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev.
Jim Cook officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews,
Kenneth & Jody Thompson, Brent Carroll, Bobby Ray, Lee & Jason
Timms, Johnathan Carroll, Brian Skelton,
& Preston Ray .
