Claudine Lela Goss

Claudine Lela Goss, 90, of Poteau, OK passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 in Poteau. Claudine was born December 23, 1921 in Fanshawe, OK to Jason C. & Berdie (Rose) Holderfield. She was a homemaker. Claudine loved to read the Bible; she was very knowledgeable about the Old Testament. She taught the Bible to hundreds over the years. She loved Jesus, her Savior. Claudine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert Goss, grandson, Gregory Goss, Two brothers & three sisters. Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Soto and spouse John of Wister, OK, Darlene Scroggins and spouse Les of Poteau, OK; son, Herbert Goss Sr. of Rocklin, CA; 8 grandchildren, Melvin Vesely JR. and spouse Eva of Grass Valley, CA, Brenda Labat of San Leandro, CA, Sharon Schaar of Castro Valley, CA, Herbert Goss Jr. of Livermore, CA, Angela Brown of Poteau, OK, Aaron Scroggins and spouse Tambra of Poteau, OK, Ashley Scroggins of Tahlequah, OK, Allen Scroggins of Poteau, OK; 22 Great Grandchildren, 17 Great Great Grandchildren., other relatives & loved ones, many beloved friends. Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Sugarloaf Christian Fellowship in Monroe, OK with Rev. Les Scroggins & Rev. Shirley Soto officiating. Interment will follow in Monroe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron Scroggins, Allen Scroggins, Gary Williams, Don Newby, Robert Newby & Jim Wann. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Robertson and Rob Hambrick. The family will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
