Lilia married her childhood sweetheart Ronnie on Christmas Eve in New York City. They were stationed in Honolulu before they welcomed their first daughter, Jennifer, in Pensacola, FL.  They welcomed their second daughter, Jessica, while they were stationed in Charleston, SC. She worked in cancer research at the Medical University South Carolina before they retired in the Philippines.

Lilia loved traveling the world with her family. She enjoyed many adventures with Ronnie across the globe. When she wasn’t going on their trips, she was active in her church groups: Couples for Christ, Marriage Encounter, PREX (Parish Renewal Experience), CLAYE (Catholic Lay Evangelization) and their prayer meetings. Outside of serving in the church, she enjoyed playing card games and mahjong, as well as watching NBA games and tennis on TV. She had a daily devotion to the rosary, the chaplet of Divine Mercy and attending mass on EWTN.

There will be no viewing. The interment will be at the Immaculate Conception Church Columbarium in Fort Smith, AR on Thursday, July 28th at 10am. In remembrance of Lilia’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to St. Jude’s Medical Research Hospital, in lieu of flowers.
