Mary Lois Armstrong Barnes
Mary proudly retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 38 years of service. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and was married to the love of her life, Dale Barnes. An avid lover of the outdoors, Mary’s most joyous days were spent fishing, visiting the wildlife Refuge, and caring for their animals with her loving husband by her side.
Mary was loved and adored by those in her community. She never met a stranger, always took the time to get to know everyone, and never failed to extend her kindness. While Mary will be dearly missed by her family and friends, she would want her loved ones to know that she was prepared and eager to meet her Redeemer.
Mary is survived by her husband, Dale Barnes of the home, two daughters, Angela McPhail and husband Eric of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Kelly Cox of Gans, Oklahoma, one sister, Ernestine Morris of Cameron, Oklahoma, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Nova Armstrong, her brothers, Gary Armstrong and Don Armstrong, one daughter, Shelly Smith, and one grandson, Cole Montana Southerland.
Pallbearers will be Eric McPhail, Robert McPhail, Rick Russell, Michael Williams, Bryan Morris,Justin Baker.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8pm.

Graveside Service for John Wayne Lomon, 79 of Pocola, Oklahoma will be at 2pm on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at United States National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at United States National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
John was born on February 24, 1943 in Hackett, Arkansas to Geneva Hargrove (Scroggins) and Fay Wayne Lomon and passed away on April 21, 2022 in Pocola, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Blake Lomon.
Survivors include: daughters, Karen Cox, Cindy Stubblefield and Greg, Glenda Wallace and Kenneth; sons, Robert Klem and wife Irma, John Lomon II and Angela; brothers, Ronald Hargrove; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.

Donna was born on November 29, 1960 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Betty L. (Drummond) Powers and Eliza L Price and passed away on April 24, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Eliza Price, Alfred Price, Mike Price.
Survivors include: her husband, Billy Fuller; Son Justin Taylor and wife Amanda; Daughter, Jennifer Hardy; grandchildren, Jarrod Hardy, Carter Taylor, Alana Buerge, Bella Taylor (pumpkin head); sister, Karen Erwin and companion Boyd Carry; 2 brothers, Marion Price, Garry Price and wife Janie.

Judith was born on December 7, 1942 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Jerry Belle (Primm) Chronister and Paul Burns and passed away on April 24, 2022 in Wister, Oklahoma. She was a proud Poteau Pirate Alumni, and was very proud of her Cherokee heritage and her Animals.
Survivors include: 3 kids; Rhonda Mackey, Marilyn Thorpe, Richard Holt; grandchildren, Jerra Sutton, Jade Porter, Amber Place, Lane Holt; numerous great grandchildren, many friends relatives and other loved ones whom she touched through the years.

Josephine was born on December 12, 1923, in College Station, Texas to Emma (Royder) Shaw and Robert Randall Shaw and passed away on April 24, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Robert "Bob" Gee; husband, Arthur Gee; grandkids, Heather Gee Ballard, and Shawn Matthew Willsey.
Survivors include: daughters, Beverly Gee Kidd Potter and husband Mike, Linda Willsey Murry; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
Janet Ann Pyle
She was born on October 22, 1946 in South Gate, California to Nora Ruth (Radford) Johnson and Albert Cleveland Johnson and passed away on April 23, 2022 in Poteau, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard Pyle; sons, Jennings Pyle and Howard Pyle Jr., daughter Retta Williams, sister Wanda Allen, and a brother James Robison.
Survivors include: a sister Nancy Olson; granddaughters, Tianny and Greg Miller, Jada Williams, Hannah Williams, Michele Pyle; grandsons Damian Williams, and Dustin Williams and 9 great grandchildren.

Kenneth was born on December 28, 1952 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma to Edith and Sam Morgan and passed away on April 19, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Debra Morgan on May 8, 1973 in Idabel, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and sisters,Virgina Thomilson- Morgan, and Donna Morgan; Attended Bokoshe High School and Carl Albert Jr College; Graduated from Oklahoma Police Academy in 1978; Been in Law-Enforcement since 1968; Worked for LeFlore Co. Sheriff Dept; US Marshalls Ft Smith, Ark; Ardmore Police Dept. Ardmore, Oklahoma; Oklahoma Tax Commission; Oklahoma Corp. Commission Vehicle Enforcement; Vice Mayor of Shady Point; Member of The Spiro Masonic Lodge # 49, Spiro, Ok; Bedouni Shrine Temple, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Attended Victory Worship Center, Spiro, Oklahoma.

Walter was born on February 26, 1936 in Cameron, Oklahoma to Eunice (Thompson) Boyster and Enoch Gibson and passed away on April 14, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandfather George Thomas; other relatives Billy Wayne Gibson; Laverty Gibson; Buster Sexton; Pauline Sexton; Dorothy Hughes; Walter enjoyed singing, fishing, hunting and preaching.
Survivors include: son, Billy Gibson; sister, Wanda Marshall.

Donna was born on July 24, 1952 to Flossie (Carter) Cheline and Junior Easton and passed away on April 9, 2022 in Cameron, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ridenour, father, Junior Easton, grandparents, Calvin and Neva Easton, and Albert and Lena Carter; Donna attended the United Methodist Church; she loved Elvis Presley; spending time with her family; crocheting; and collecting Angels.
Survivors include: son, Brant Ridenour and wife Melana; mother, Flossie Cheline; grandchildren, Chase Ridenour, and girlfriend Nicole Fountain, Emma Ridenour, Meygan Mode and husband Jeff, Chance Matlock and wife Casee, Chase Matlock, Mckensey Matlock; great grandchildren, Jacie Seals, Blake Wagner, Jemma Matlock; many cousins and close friends.

Barbara Jean Harris
Barbara was born on November 7, 1959 in Sandusky, OH to Blanch (Sloan) Hughes and Scotty Sneed and passed away on April 6, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, and step-father, Lester Hughes, Barbara was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Poteau. She loved spending time with her granddaughter Riley, cooking, baking, and volunteering for different events. She enjoyed spending time at the lake, going on road trips, and Shopping!
Survivors include: husband, Hank Harris; daughter, Sondra Harris-Sampson; son Matt Harris; sister, Connie and Ricky Deramus; Grandchildren, Riley Harris-Sampson, numerous other relatives and loved ones.

Barry Regan Collins
Barry Regan Collins, who resided in Poteau, Oklahoma, died Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on March 14, 1964, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to the late Jack Collins and LaWanna Y. (Henson) Collins. He was 58 years old. He was preceded in death by a sister, Penney Qasem.
Barry was an electrician. For many years, he umpired high school baseball games and Little League baseball. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by two daughters, Sabrina Wooten of LeFlore and Ashlyn Bogle of Stigler; three sons, Clayton Collins of Poteau, Miles Collins of Poteau, and Ayden Collins of Wister; four sisters, Mitzie Mathis and husband Doug of Poteau, Ginger Adams and husband Darrell of Wister, Kellie Pruitt and husband John of Wister, and Tammy Plummer of Poteau; a brother, Brett Collins of Poteau; nine grandchildren.
Charles Leroy Curtis
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Pearl, and one grandson, Devan Charles Heineken. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Noma Curtis; two daughters, Frankie Lynn Duncan (Tim) and Sherrie Denise Jones (Mike Mayabb); two sisters, Betty Pickle (Ralph) and Ann Goins (Ken); six grandchildren, Heavanly, Stephanie, Tiffany (Cody), Dustin, Andrew, Angelena; 14 great-grandchildren; and many other loved relatives.
Charles worked for the City of Conway Springs and Kerry’s Phillips 66 Station. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He attended classes at Friends University in Wichita. He was a volunteer firefighter for the city of Conway Springs. He was later employed by Dwayne Reynolds of Creative Construction, Wichita, where he worked for 13 years. He was also self-employed as a painter and carpenter, doing interior and exterior work, building cabinetry and other furniture. He retired in 1999 and moved to Poteau to build their retirement home. Over the years, Charles had been a member of Southside Baptist Church, Poteau, OK, First Baptist Church, Conway Springs, KS, and First Baptist Church, Paoli, OK.
A viewing will be held at Evans & Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, on Monday, April 4 from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held at Southside Baptist Church, Poteau, on Tuesday, April 5 at 10am.
