Melba “Gaye” Thompson, 74, of Cameron, OK passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Cameron. Gaye was born June 10, 1947 in Poteau, OK to James T. & Sylvia (Sublett) Heavener. She owned Thompson Tax Service in Cameron for 40+ years.. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry Thompson; brothers, Jimmy, Joe & Frankie Heavener; sister, Betty Heavener.
Survivors include her sons, Keith Thompson, Jeff Thompson & wife, Barbara; granddaughters, Katie Rogers & Allie Mizell; great grandsons, Braxton Rogers, Remi Mizell; sisters, Suzie Huff, Mary Heavener, Wanda Crawford; brothers, Johnny Heavener & wife Julie, Lee Heavener & Herbert Heavener & wife Tommie; special friend, John Sanders; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 10 am, Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion, Poteau, OK . Honorary pallbearers will be Jaidon Whitten, Skyler Mizell, Justin Heavener and Steve Armstrong.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
