William Taylor Shippey, 69, of Wister, OK passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in Ft. Smith, AR. Taylor was born October 5, 1952 in Ft. Smith to Eben L & Doris (Baldwin) Shippey. He was a carpenter and also an ordained minister.
Survivors include his son & daughter in law, Zechariah & Erica Shippey; daughter & son in law, Kimberly & Patrick Lyons; grandchildren, Ryder Shippey, Lillian Shippey, Tyler Hopper & Jayce McCoy; nephews, Chris Shippey & Mike Shippey; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Monday, November 15, 2021 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau. Pallbearers will be Colton Newton, Walker Newton, Adriain Gonzales, Jess Hammons, Will Hammons and Joe Hammons.
