Mary Boggs

 Virginia Dare “Mary” Boggs of Leflore, Oklahoma passed away November 19, 2020 at home in Leflore. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 13, 1936 to Frank & Virginia Kelly. Her family moved to Chula Vista, California during WWII where she would grow up and met the love of her life, Roy Boggs. Roy and Mary were married on February 25, 1956 in Chula Vista. Mary and her family would move to Leflore, Oklahoma in 1968 where she would live the rest of her life. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Kelly and Virginia Mueller, step-father Roland Mueller, her husband Roy, and her son-in-law, Frank Gresham.

            She is survived by daughter Catherine and Lenny Thompson of Lake Arrowhead, California (now Leflore), daughter Janet Gresham of Daytona Beach, Florida, son David and Shelly Boggs of Owasso, Oklahoma and son Stephen & Christy Boggs of Waco, Texas. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

            Mary’s life was defined by her faith in Jesus Christ as well as her love and dedication to her family. She was active in the many activities of her children and her community. 

            There will be a memorial service at the Leflore Baptist Church on Saturday, December 5^th at 11:00am. Mary will rest with her family in Leflore, Oklahoma.
